If like me you are following Dr Ellie Phillips dental care protocol, these tiny timers make it much easier. You see, Dr Ellie recommends 3 different types of mouthwashes, twice a day, and these mouthwashes require different times. Thirty seconds and 60 seconds, to be precise. You can watch the clock, but sometimes it's easy to forget where the second hand started, plus watching the clock can be hard on your neck when you're leaning over the sink. Additionally, there is the 2-minute toothbrushing which can result in too much or too little time spent on some parts of the mouth. I find the 30 second timer is perfect to use and brush by quadrants. If I sound a bit OCD, I probably am, but the money and pain you save by doing the teeth the right way is worth it. Of course these silent timers which go up to 10 minutes will work for short meditation and holding yoga poses. You can time an egg. Whatever. Use your imagination. They are attractive, small, colorful, fun.

When I bought the set, I didn't realize the timers had different lengths of time. Which I was delighted to find out! 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes. This was going to be for use with games, but I know my two and a half year old has been enjoying playing with timers. These were perfect for the games I had plans around Christmas time. But I've also found that my son likes to turn them all over at the same time and watch them race to the end. So essentially, I now have a set of timers that keeps my son busy for 10 minutes at a time, haha! For all you busy parents out there, you know how awesome that is. 🤣 I haven't timed them for accuracy like some of the other reviewers, I don't care about a 1 to 10 second difference - these are inexpensive and close enough!

So far I love them! I haven't taken the time to check and make sure they actually are the right times but I am eager to get to using them with my son. He has ADHD and his OT was saying timer help a lot with different tasks so we are going to start using them to ease the struggles *hopefully* and make some things a little more fun ! They seem to be pretty well made, thick plastic. I love that they are color coordinated so I can't mistake which ones being used! I'll check the time later and update ya 😉 they are small I think bigger might been a little fun, but definitely fair for the price!!! (Depicted in toddler hand for size reference:)

I'm 80% satisfied with this. 7 dollars for a set of 6 hourglasses I can't complain. The 5-minute hourglass doesn't work, then I figured out it's because it's broken. Overall, the rest is sound and functional.

The cutest most portable little sand timers ever! And more importantly that how they look is how great they perform! I took them out, one by one and began timing them against an electric timer. The 30 sec, 1 min, 3 min, 5 minute and 10 minute sand timers were either exactly on time or within 1-2 seconds in sync with the electric timer. I have so many uses in mind for these timers and know that I'm going to enjoy them very much!

So helpful for time outs! I cant believe how much better this is for my five year old to visualize time than watching the hands move on an analog clock but it’s magical. They are labeled on one end with the time it takes them to clear one side.

At first all 6 timers worked, after a few months the sand now gets stuck in several of them.
