Starion ST-EDB-3/4 MBK 3/4 Sized Electric Double Bass-Metallic Black

I wasn't sure this would be a good buy, but figured I couldn't go wrong for the great price. Boy, was I surprised! I play a 3/4 upright acoustic bass in a bluegrass band and frankly, I have a difficult time hauling that big instrument around at times. For some smaller gigs, I hoped the Starion would do the job... and it definitely has! It is well constructed, easy to handle, sounds great, and MUCH easier to transport when playing elsewhere. It came with a VERY functional, slim gig bag that can be carried three different ways. The 1/4" plug allows you to connect to any standard bass amp. But there are also 1/8" jacks for both an mp3 player/smartphone (for piping in music to play with), AND for headphones. Those jacks enable me to practice along with music on my smartphone without anyone in my house hearing unless they're sitting VERY close in the same room. It's virtually silent without the headphones when I'm using those jacks. I'm VERY pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone considering getting one of their own.(One issue I had when I first bought it was a rattling sound inside the instrument. This was easily fixed by taking the rectangular cover off the back and wrapping the very top of the endpin with black electrical tape. Then, when it's fully extended, the rattling completely stopped. It took some black electrical tape, a phillips head screwdriver, and about five minutes to fix.)
