This is a strong sheet of substantial, sturdy plastic with small studs over one surface to grip a carpet and keep the sheet in place. These have caused no damage to the carpet after a month of prolonged daily use. It is designed for an office type chair with wheels and such a chair glides effortlessly across its surface. The chair wheels do not scratch or scuff the surface of the plastic at all. It will obviously protect a carpet from any chair whether it has wheels or not. The product will additionally protect a carpet from spills. Overall this is a very well made, high quality and very useful product. It is quite amazing how freely the chair moves as compared to moving across a carpet. Highly recommended and well worth waiting the couple of weeks it took to arrive from Germany.

Having a brand new carpet fitted, I didn't want to ruin it with my office chair. This is strong and durable and well worth the money.Having read the reviews of others on the market, this came out tops and for good reason. It comes flat (and couldn't be rolled even if you wanted to) so there are no curly corners to trip on, the office chair wheels glide effortlessly over it, and it's so strong that your carpet will be well protected.Excellent product.

No problems with this for the few days that I've used it, but it does move around a little bit on carpet (and probably hard flooring too). I have to pull it back to its original position each morning, but it protects my newly laid carpet as the product intends, and I don't think it's a big deal considering it only takes a couple of seconds to do. I have tried both the rougher side face down and clear side face down, but it doesn't really make any difference on carpet.The mat is not the roll up type that I have seen listed in searches, it is a solid sheet of plastic which is what I wanted. The mat does bend a little bit, so there is a little give in it, but you wouldn't want to bend it in half. I find there's no dimples in my carpet when I use this mat.My only criticism is that it's a bit pricey for a sheet of plastic, but then I've seen reviews of the roll-up types lifting up at the corners and discolouring, and other solid mats that are available have shattered, so I purchased this one instead.

We had a new carpet fitted in the last few months, around the same time I had to turn my spare room into an office. Not wanting to ruin the new carpet with my office chair, I researched on line for a plastic sheet that would protect my carpet and not look out of place. This plastic protector is perfect! It comes packed flat so you don't need to unroll it - the tiny grips on the bottom, grip the carpet and hold it in place so your chair is able to move freely across the top. I've pulled the sheet up and it's not ruining the carpet underneath - a quick run over with the hoover and it looks like new. So in short, this is worth the extra money (it's a bit more expensive than others I looked at) and it does a great job. Would definitely recommend !

I bough this product for one carpeted room. It worked well, and am very happy. I wanted to buy another mat , so I ordered the same product with a bigger size, but this does not fit correctly, so I had to return it. The description of measurements are accurate in FEET, but not correct in CM. I think the manufacturer and Amazon should address this point and accurately show the size measurements.I then ordered another mat which were the correct size from another manufacturer, and this broke within a week. So I requested a refund and received it without a problem.So I really liked the Kaiser mat, and I ordered the same one as before, even if it slightly smaller. This is a good product, and so far it has not cracked.

I bought two of these mats, one to use as a door mat and one to use at my working from home desk, to protect my new carpet without hiding it and they do exactly that! The item arrived flat and well wrapped in bubble wrap, so no worries about having to try and flatten it out. There is a couple of minor scuffs but they aren’t even visible once it’s on the floor. The carpet grippers on the back are noticeable through the top but not enough that it is going to bother me. My only concern is how durable it will be, as it is quite a stiff material. Only time will tell on that one but overall I think these mats are excellent value for money. I purposefully chose mats without pvc and some are quite pricey. These aren’t and they are fulfilled by Amazon, so if I do have any issues in the future I know I won’t have any problems sorting it out.

Product looked like I expected and appears to be want I needed. However after half a day of having a office chair on it a small crack appeared (see picture). Not sure how long this is going to last and at the price paid was not what I was expecting.UPDATE - so the small crack has become a large crack and has spread across the mat (I have had to tape it up to stop it catching on things). I have asked for refund but need to return it which is impossible to do due to size and difficulty to package - it will cost me significantly more in packaging to get it back than is refunded by Amazon. I have asked them what should be done having supplied further pictures but have had no response.Update- Amazon refunded in full and didn’t need to return it.

I hoped that it would be more durable considering the price tag. Cracks started to appear after a few weeks of using it on a low pile carpet, however it still managed to last nearly 2 years, but when I changed my carpet to medium pile it finally gave up and had to be replaced. I weigh around 80kg so the quality is not that great.
