Love the design on this nutcracker and how it functions. Very simple and to the point.Overall, a great design. Functions smoothly and effectively.Very modern and industrial design.The welds are top notch.Functions better than expected. You just line up the nut on the bottom nut, and crank the t handle bold down. Nuts crack effortlessly.Definitely a 2 hand job. I thought about mounting it to a base, but holding it in 2 hands gives you better control.Very simple to use and keep clean.I liked it so much, i bought another one.I use it to break very hard nuts and it works with ease.Well worth the money.Sometimes simple is better, and this simple cracker is the best cracker I've ever had.

This is a cool gadget, and I have cracked open walnuts, macadamia and pecans with it.The nut in the bottom helps hold nuts in place but the smooth top allows the nuts to slip so you have to hold them as best you can while cracking down on them.That is the reason for the less stars.Need to get something on the smooth surface to hold the nuts in place.Otherwise it works well and the pick that comes with was very handy for prying the nuts open where the crack was not all the way throughFix the faulty smooth top and then it will really be a great small gadget you could even take camping with you!Love thst it comes in a nice case too

My daughter brought me back fresh macadamia nuts in the shells from Hawaii and this works way better than a hammer and a meat tenderizer. I started out with a meat tenderizer, which worked great for about 5 nuts. Then the handle busted apart from the top. We went on to use a hammer (wrapped the nuts in a kitchen towel), but the shells smashed in to the nuts. So then we had to pick the shells out of the meat. I was not willing to do that for all of them so I purchased this nut cracker and I’m super glad that I did. It busted right through the shells and left me with whole nuts instead of smashed parts of them. Way better! It can get a little tedious doing it so many times one at a time, but for fresh macadamia nuts, it was worth it! It shipped out fast, too, which was a huge bonus since I was waiting to eat my treats!

Its a very strong nut cracker and simple design, but there's a big flaw that makes using it with some nuts an exercise in frustration. The head of the bolt that goes down to crack the nut also spins with the lever, so it spins the nut as your turning, this causes the nut to slip out of the nut cracker for nuts like almonds that are small and have little contact area. Other nutcrackers of this type a free spinning head to prevent this exact type of issue. Also, the build finishing is really poor, the welds aren't cleaned up and have minimal polishing to smooth out the welding splatter.

It works for black walnuts, but the design is flawed. You have to hold the walnut to keep it from spinning. It won't open wide enough for large walnuts which is most of ours. For the walnuts that fit, it basically cracks them in half. The halves are nearly impossible to continue cracking because of the spinning and lack of grip on the top nut. The little pick that comes with it is nearly useless for getting the meat out of the cracked shell.We cracked 3 walnuts to give it a good try. After 30 minutes for 3 walnuts, we confirmed that it's a waste of time and effort. With buckets full of walnuts this won't work.The only good things are that it is sturdy and will crack black walnuts, but that isn't helpful if you still can't get the meat out of the walnuts that fit this device.Do not recommend this. Will spend a lot more for a machine that cracks better, like Grandpa's goodie getter.

Works like a charm when others won’t!!

It's a poor design, mostly because the bolt end is flat and spins, so the nut moves around while you're trying to crack it. As a result you have to hold it with your palm, so the nut doesn't just slip out. It's unpleasant to use, and slow. This might be good for really hard nuts, but I tried it on a brazil nut and immediately decided I needed to go find something better.This would work well if the bolt head was hollowed out to form a cup, to hold the nut, or if it spun rather than spinning the nut.On the plus side it's very simple and solidly made

Works great on black walnuts. They don’t explode into pieces , and it’s simple to use. Thank you for the simplicity and price of this.

Cumple perfectamente, las nueces de macadamia las abre como si nada, nada de hacer fuerza. Lo único que en la foto aparece como que tiene una base para apoyar pero no, es todo tubular, no se puede apoyar pero tampoco le voy a quitar puntuación por esto ya que te abre las nueces más duras sin ningún problema.

We have a couple of macadamia trees in the backyard. Over the years I have used all sorts of methods and contraptions to open them up. This one is the best. It's a little bit slow because you have to screw and unscrew the handle. It works great though and doesn't damage the macadamias. It's stainless steel so should last a lifetime.

Après avoir essayé différents casse-noix qui soit étaient incapables de casser une amande, soit se cassaient eux-mêmes rapidement, j'ai enfin trouvé un appareil efficace. Les amandes sont beaucoup plus dures que les noix ou noisettes et aucun casse-noix classique ne marche.Il y a un double avantage à ce casse-amande : Il fait le boulot sans forcer, et il le fait bien c'est à dire qu'on peut doser l'effort pour casser la coque sans exploser l'amande.Il y avait un inconvénient au départ, c'est qu'il était difficile de centrer l'amande ou la noisette qui avait tendance à glisser dès qu'on commençait à tourner. J'ai réglé le problème de manière très simple, en collant à la superglue une grosse rondelle sur la tête du boulon. Ainsi l'amande est bien calée des deux côtés.
