Works great, no problems. Perfect for a bedroom or small living room!

From other reviews we were worried about excessive noise and almost didn't buy this product. Our unit arrived without damage and appeared new and unopened. We like the small footprint plus we intended to and are using the flat top as a TV stand. We turned it on and we immediately felt it was not noisy at all.Then we tested it using a sound meter app on a phone (Physics Tool Box app) from 6 feet away and were quite surprised just how little noise it makes. For reference an average home baseline noise is about 40 decibels (dB) while whispering alone is 30 dB and normal conversation about 60 dB. Our home is new, well insulated, in a quiet neighborhood, and generally pretty quiet.Our test:Unit off (meaning our home's baseline noise): ~30dB"Flames" only on low: ~32 dB"Flames" only on high: ~32 dB"Flames" on high plus heater on low: ~35 dB"Flames" on high plus heater on high: ~37 dBThe unit added negligible noise above our home's baseline.

Good points: Not too heavy, nice design, and was perfect--when it worked for 5 minutes. The heater part of it still worked, but the "faux" flames stopped working, so I returned it. Amazon would have replaced it, but I had to have someone come and set it up for me (disabled) and I didn't want to ask them again, so I asked for a refund instead of replacement. It is, however, a really good design; I'm sorry the one I received was defective. It may work for you--if YOU get a defective one and getting a replacement is not a hardship for you, I would recommend it.

I would have given this product 5 stars but the first fireplace I ordered was defective. However, it was very easy to return and the 2nd fireplace arrived promptly. It is a nice unit that heats a 200 sq ft room well and the simulated fire is realistic. I like the design of this fireplace as it goes well with my mid-century themed furniture. I would recommend this product both functionally and aesthetically.

The fireplace was easy to install. Lift it out of the box and plug in the cord. Unfortunately it arrived broken. There is two light bulbs in the unit. One was missing and one broken. Fortunately Amazon excellent customer service, reimbursed me for the missing lightbulbs.Just find it sad that the manufacturer does not have better product control.The heat is o.k. For a small to a medium size room. First I thought the fan is a little bit noisy. With the TVon you do not really hear the fan. My rating is 3 stars due to the fact that it arrived broken/incomplete. If it would have been working out of the box I would give it 4 stars.

I really liked the style of this electric fireplace. Yet it arrived with bulbs broken although packaged extremely well. Yet the bulbs were not the deal breaker. The oscillating piece to make the flames dance was extremely noisy. I called the company and they said it most likely had been jostled in transport from one location to another and it definitely should not sound noisy. So ambience buster. So I decided to exchange for another. The replacement was an obvious return which led me to think I was about to encounter the same problems.Sad to say, yes. Once again rattling from inside from busted bulbs and oscillating flame piece loud and unappealing. So back it went. It’s really a shame because the overall effect of this fireplace is modern, stands at a nice height and had a fair amount of heat. Unfortunately as well, an unfair amount of noise.

We got windows and then spray foam underneath. This is exactly what we needed to make the porch warm during January to enjoy watching the snow.

I was skeptical but this is a great electric FP! Puts off a good amount of heat and just makes the room cozy! Been using it a basement all winter - highly reccomend!
