i got this latch hook rug to do and give it to my cousin for belated birthday

I've had this latch hook project since 2014 and I had to give up on it for awhile because the color codes on the paper doesn't match the yarn, plus I ran out of certain colors before i even got it halfway finished. I'm working on it again now, but it is still confusing on colors like Dark Almond, and Mahogany, you look at color codes and they look the same. So if this project comes out even close to what it is suppose to look like it will be a miracle.The colors don't even come close to what the codes say they are. I will not buy this one again.

This turned out good. The two types of almond colors were near impossible to tell apart and I mixed them together. You can't even tell in the final project. The legend was a little dark and hard to read but I got along in the end.

I bought this for my wife and she was very disappointed. Yarn was poorly organized, colors missing, and the pattern very hard to identify.

This kit was very enjoyable to do, and I really liked it until I was halfway finished. The yarn colors included are not enough, and my kit contained a huge amount of the darker blue (used only in the small corner of the latch-hook), and the lighter blue had only a small amount that was not nearly enough to finish. I ended up having to re-design the top half of the sky myself so that I could finish it with only the darker blue that I had left. Aside from that, the other colors had enough yarn and matched the photo very well. Some of the yarn was a bit thin, falling apart, or too long, but overall, the kit was fun. It was also easy enough to figure out the color chart, except for the "dark almond" and "almond" look so identical that I had to guess which was which. Thankfully, there is enough of both color yarn, and they do not look different enough to change the finished result due to their indistinguishable colors. If I used the wrong colors, it is not noticeable at all. I just wish the blue colors contained enough yarn. It would have turned out just like the photo.

There was enough yarn and the finished product was beautiful. I got this kit locally at a craft store. There is nothing wrong with this. The pattern was printed in full color on a piece of paper which was easy to read considering I am used to black and white patterns. The rug had grids instead of the color printed on it. It ended up being easier than having the color on the rug because when I do it that way the pattern and the rug don't line up and it confuses me. This was also done by me a 12 year old.

I was very disappointed in this latch hook rug! They no longer put the colors on the rug. You have to follow a paper map which was very difficult for me let alone my 10 year old daughter. I ended up throwing the entire thing out because it was too difficult to follow. It was supposed to be a fun summer project for my kids and instead was just frustrating.

My granddaughter loves working on this but it is much harder than expected.
