Matt is thick and rigid. Dimples stop it from moving on the carpet and opposite side is smooth enough to move the chair on rollers.

Decent quality thick, under chair mat. Only slight gripe was the humongous cardboard box it was delivered in!

Exactly what I was after. Durable and perfect for carpets.

Seeing how much damage was being done to my carpet by the office chair in the beginning of the first lockdown after doing 8 hour days, I quickly purchased the Polyethylene Terephthalate mat in early June 2020 (size: 3' x 4' (90 x 120 cm)). It arrived quickly without any issues and was nicely rolled up. (Note: cut the rolled up mat in a clear/empty space as this thing shoots open with some force!)Having used two different office chairs on it since then, I noticed a crack a few months in. Which later started clicking when the wheel rolls over it. Not always but just sometimes. Fine...Now 6 months later, a second crack has appeared on the right side and so I am not sure their claim that it is suitable for "LOW-MEDIUM Pile Carpets" should be listed as my carpet is low pile and it has cracked in two places now.Whether these two cracks will connect up and ultimately this will split in two I don't know but I guess I will find out and in that case update this post (if possible).So I can't really recommend this product, though if you just need to temporarily protect your carpet, or a light user, then this will do. Or maybe go for the polycarbonate version instead. I might try that one next if this breaks further.

I ordered this mat in May, it arrived quickly however it is now July and there are already many breaks in the mat.I use it on a carpet with a gaming chair on rolling casters. I weigh ~135kg.****update***We’re in November now and it is virtually useless, shattered to pieces and I need to get rid of it. So lasted about 6 months, I’ve lost some weight though

Product arrived in good time, placed straight onto the floor and I was impressed with the quality and sturdiness of the Mat.In use for around two hours, dropped a pen on the carpet next to it and leaned over to pick it up, then heard a crack and one of the castors had pushed down into the mat and caused the mat to break.I think the issue is that whilst you keep your body weight spread evenly on the chair this mat is fine, but, if you bias your weight to one side it focusses it in one specific location and there is no give in the mat and therefore it cracks.I think if you are lighter than me, this mat would be fine, or if you were aware of its limitations it would also be fine. I'm not going to give it a scathing review, because I don't think that's fair, its a good product, just not suited to me,Amazon refund process simple and efficient, self printed a returns label and being picked up next day.Thanks for reading

You may be in same position as me as during recent events took home the office chair as the dining chairs just aren't the same after 8 hours! Office chairs with wheels also not designed to work on carpet and after a few days it was either the office chair had to go or find somwhere else to work!Looked at other solutions but fixed on this for a few reasons - It gets delivered as a flat pack ( not rolled ) solid peice of plastic that as soon as you put it down it works great. Has enough flex to roll your chair on it and does not move due to the small stipples on the back to hold it to the carpet ( make your your select this version as they have one for hard floors, same thing but no stipples ) Does not creak or make any cracking noise.It is hard to beleive that such a simple solution needs the right type of plastic but it really does and if you are like me working 8 hours plus on carpet on a chair with wheels it is worth the extra slight cost with going for a solution that works.Oh yes after a week lifted the mat to see if the carpet was marked, there are a few stipple marks but after a quick vac carpets comes back looking normal. So no long term damage it would see at this stage.Worth the extra for something that does exactly what it says on the tin.

This is a great idea that doesn't quite work. Initially I was really pleased as it solved the problem of trying to use and office chair on bedroom carpet. Annoyingly, three months later it has cracked and broken in several places. I don't even WFH every day and I'm not particularly large.
