Must adjust the tension on the water pump belt for it to work properly. Search youtube for a how to.
TLDR: The belts are not too large or too small, search YouTube for a video on how to adjust the tension on the water pump belt before installing, it will save you a lot of frustration. Works Great Now!Installation of both belts was super easy, but once they were installed the rinse/drain cycle would not complete and there was still water in the machine. I read some reviews and noticed a few people saying that the belts were not the exact size and therefore the washer would not work properly. I did more reading and found out that you MUST adjust the tension on the water pump belt first. I watched several videos on YouTube on how to adjust the tension. It wasn't too difficult, you need a socket wrench to loosen, then tighten a few small bolts from the water pump. Once the tension on the belt was adjusted the washer worked great again.

Belt Set Is NOT Made To Maytag Factory OEM Specifications!
I bought this belt set in October of 2020. I finally had the time to perform maintenance on my matching Maytag LAT3500AAE Washer and MDE3500AYW Electric Dryer set, purchased brand new in 2000. Both washer and dryer have been trouble free since purchase. The only part I have replaced which was several years ago, was the timer for the washer as they do wear out from use.On Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021, I completely disassembled the dryer for a thorough cleanout, inspecting all parts. Only part that needed replacement was the roller for the tensioner, replacing it with a Genuine Maytag OEM Part. Next, I removed the front panel on the washer, removing the original belts and then motor assembly. I installed a new motor mount roller and spring kit, applying the lubricant to the rollers and rails as per manufacturer's instructions, reinstalled the motor and then finished up by installing the new Ultra Durable 211124 & 211125 Washer Belt Set by Blue Stars. I adjusted the tension for the water pump drive belt as per manufacturer's instructions. There is no adjustment for the washer pump drive belt, which goes on first before installing the water pump drive belt. I noticed that the new washer pump drive belt was thicker than the original belt and was a little difficult to get around the drive pulley on the motor as well as the washer tub pulley. After I finished installing the belts, I reinstalled the front panel on the washer, moved it back in place, reinstalled the hot and cold water hoses as well as the drain hose, and plugged in the electrical cord. It was time to run the washer to see to check for proper operation. Washer filled up fine and ran through the agitation cycle okay. When it was time for the washer to pump the water out, that's when everything went bad. The motor started to overheat and smoke, then the circuit breaker on top of the motor cut out, which is by design to protect the motor from overload. I waited until the motor cooled down and the breaker reset itself, then turned the washer back on again. The same thing happened, the motor overheated and the circuit breaker shut it down again. I had to bail the washer tub out by hand. I then tried running the washer again. It would start to spin the washer tub, then shut down. After disconnecting hoses, drain hose and electrical cord, I pulled the washer out, removed the front panel, and tilted the washer back to inspect the motor assembly, then looked at the bottom and inspected the belts. After confirming that everything was correctly installed. I adjusted the water pump belt tension to give it a little more slack, reassembled the washer, hooked everything back up, then ran the washer again, having no problem with the filling and agitation cycle. However, once again the motor shut down when the washer went into its drain cycle. I noticed that the washer tub was trying to spin at the start of the drain cycle. It's NOT supposed to do that until the washer drain has been drained. It should be noted, that the washer was working just fine before I installed the new belt set. The motor assembly was moving back and forth in its mounting base as it should with the belts removed. However, when I installed the drive belt for the washer tub, there was very little slack in the belt, preventing the motor to travel back and forth in the mounting base as its designed to do. I came to the conclusion that since the replacement driver belt set was not within the manufacturer's specifications, that it could be the cause of the issue with the motor overheating and shutting down due to the drain and spin cycles not working. I then purchased a Maytag Factory OEM belt set for my washing machine. The belts, especially the drive belt for the washer tube, matched the original one. It properly fit onto the pulleys, and allowed the motor to move back and forth on its base as intended. After the OEM belts were installed and everything was hooked back up, I proceeded to run the washing machine. It went through all cycles, fill, washing agitation, drain and spin with NO issues, and the motor worked just fine.Although it is passed the time period for me to return this belt set, my fault, not Amazon's, I am posting this review as a warning to anyone else attempting to install this belt set on their Maytag washing machine. Hopefully it will prevent you from going through the aggravation and added expense I had to. Next time I will stick with Factory OEM parts only and pass on the aftermarket parts due to quality control and fitment issues.

Fixed our old washing machine in 20 minutes
Somehow a tiny anklet sock made it over the drum and jammed the water pump... which broke the belt with a hot rubber smell to let us know what was going on. Ordered the belts, arrived within 2 days, installed in 20 minutes, the old washer is chugging along like it has for something like 20 years. I recommend this product.

They are a harder glossy rubber compared to the originals
I replaced these on my moms machine, but the transmission gave out shortly thereafter. Can't say how long they would have worked, though seemed ok for a budget fix.

STAY AWAY FROM AFTERMARKET MAYTAG PRODUCTS
After more than 25 years of continuous service free operation, I noticed rubber dust & black particles under the Maytag washer (model LAT8234AAE). Figured it was time to change the 2 belts: motor & pump. Since OEM parts were unavailable I decided to try aftermarket products & not the cheapest ones. BIG MISTAKE. As mentioned by other buyers, these two belts are not suited for Maytag washing machines. They didn't even last 1 wash cycle. During first spin cycle the motor belt caused it to trip the thermal fuse. Had to empty the washer manually by the drain plug (80 L) then reinstall the old belts. Everything came back to normal. Will patiently wait for OEM parts to be available again, hoping that the original belts will hold out till then. The two belts were returned for a full refund.
