Lacking in taste
You could say I'm a bit of a soy sauce snob so when I received this as a gift I was excited. It has a fantastic scent & beautiful color. Yet when it comes to thickness, it is similar to that of cheap soy sauces- if I had to compare it to anything I would say it's almost exactly like Kikkoman's less sodium soy sauce. In fact, I didn't taste the difference.I also compared it to Haku's Sakura cherry blossom shoyu (which is very light in flavor) and had to use twice as much & still didn't get any hint of the earthy flavors the description includes. My husband was also disappointed. If you're searching for something more promising, I suggest Bourbon Barrel Bluegrass Soy Sauce.
