Oriental Furniture Rush Grass Storage Footstool - Natural

This is beautiful. Very high quality. I needed some extra bedroom storage. This works perfect and looks so nice in my bedroom. It was a great purchase.

This is a very nice piece. Sturdy and functional. I bought it for my husband as a side table for his chair on the screened-in porch. (Okay, I also wanted the extra storage for lap blankets we use in Fall and Winter.) The top is sturdy enough to hold basic items (don't put a full 20 oz cardboard coffee cup on it) and the inside lining is a good-weight fabric, looks clean and bright and works great. The weave is exceptionally well-done and consistent.How did this attractive little basket make me look smart? It has legs! I didn't pay attention to that when I bought it. But, instead of a basket that sits on the ground, the legs make it possible to neatly run power cords underneath it. And the cords don't even show. Bonus!

Just received these. You get what you pay for, sort of. I looked at a variety of these kinds of foot stools. This seemed like a good price. Overall, it is fairly sturdy. But I would not use it for anything other than a place to rest your feet. Wood used both in lid and at bottom of stool is only 3/8” to 1/2” thick at best. Likewise, I would not store anything of any weight inside. It is nicely lined, and lid seems fairly sturdy. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, it is a bit “tippy” with only three feet. Packing was very minimal; *very* thin styrofoam in a “Chinese” box (i.e., that cheap, thin cardboard unlike what we generally use in the U.S.). You hope it doesn’t get hit somewhere in shipping. Feet are not that great. Not well stained/painted...and they must have been painted just before packing, because the pieces of the styrofoam packing are stuck to bottom of the feet. I will be lightly sanding them, maybe even re-paint them. Does look nice. The rush grass seems fine, though the lining to the inside (stapled in) is a bit visible on the outside of the stool, at the very top through the rush grass. Not something you immediately notice, tho. I bought two (2)...no noticeable color difference in them.

This is a really nice storage chest. I put it at the end of my (twin) bed, where it fits perfectly. The quality is good. The color is as in the picture, but itlooks a little brighter in real view. I easily fit a regular pillow and two small pillows in it. There is room for more, easily another standard pillow or perhapsa blanket or twin quilt. The hinged top stays open when needed, does not fall down. It aligns perfectly with the chest itself when closed,no gaps. The weave istight, no reeds sticking out. I sprayed it with Bitter Lemon, just in case, so my puppy wouldn't be tempted to chew on it. If I had cats, I don't think I'd takea chance with it, too tempting to use as a scratching post.

I don’t even know where to begin.First of all, this is NOT rush grass. (I’ve made baskets with rush.). It’s some kind a flimsy, twisted paper. I had every intention of staining this chest, which I could, with actual rush. I doubt this would hold up. I know it would never be an even cover.My cats will destroy this in no time. Not so with real rush.I was excited about the shape. Yep, never mind. The sides aren’t even. I’ll try to fix it.The top edge is a hot mess. It’s thick and uneven.The lid will smash it out in no time. It is not the least bit sturdy, but I was to store blankets in it, so I’m ok with that.The lid is askew and hangs more to the left side. I know I can fix that, if I can get around the rusty hinge.A colossal waste of money.I’m very disappointed.

The posted dimensions are correct but I wouldn't call this sturdy. The material is very soft with a loose weave. I wouldn't sit on this, use it for a kid's toy box or let a cat near it. Overpriced even with the discount

I ordered two of these wicker style footstools when I was redecorating my living space. These were natural fiber and included a lid so you had storage space inside. I found just what I wanted and they work great as a footstool with each one of the barrel chairs at one end of the living room. I pull them aside when not using as a footstool and it becomes line an end table so it does not clutter up my living space. I can keep a fleece throw inside for when anyone feels the need for extra warmth during the winder evenings.Great item for the price and are well made with wooden pegs on the bottom to keep it off the floor. Saves the bottom from moving it around I was well satisfied.

is very nice product and 'different' which is why I had to get it from amazon.com as opposed to .co.uk. it came from usa (apparently) so I had to pay potential fee for customs though I do wonder as it arrived within two days!! how did it arrive so quickly? anyways I was impressed with the service and the product. I plan to either use for storing bedding and blankets but keep it on my landing as a 'furniture' item because it is nice to look at ; or my original idea of in hallway, to store shoes. since still doing up hallway it is being kept safe in its box but is very nice quality and I love the shape which gives it its originality.
