This worked great! I used it to add length to the cable that came with the radio I purchased. The cable for the back up camera on the radio that I purchased was not long enough to reach the back of my sequoia dis edition enabled me to place the camera back by the tag where it goes.

I recently purchased a camera to install on my truck, the unit includes 4 cameras to contain video from 4 angles. I found that the supplied rear camera includes enough wire to reach the back of a mini cooper or smart car, but it is not designed to fit directly on a traditional American car (or in my case, truck). This 9.8 foot extension (probably comes-out to an even centimeter length unit) was about 2 feet longer than I needed for my truck (standard 8 foot bed with an extended cab). I figure you can make this work as well with a full size truck with a crew cab and 8 foot bed. I have had no issues with the video, but I would like to mention one issue that I think could be better addressed. Since there are at least 2 connections located outside the vehicle, there are environmental concerns that I figured I would be able to cover by installing a heat-shrink over the joints - one of the connector is small enough to just fit into a standard heat shrink size, and the other side is just a little too large - this means you have to go to the next size wrap. When you go to the next larger size, the heat shrink (I am using 4X material), will not shrink small enough to seal to the wire. I ended having to do a tape wrap over the connectors. A future improvement would be to supply an extension wire that includes an over warp (boot or shrinkable) that will fit nicely to eliminate those environmental concerns.
