Just what I needed and it works
Worked great. Did just what it said it would. The water is much more clear and there isn't nearly as much algae. I was late getting control of the algae because this is my first year with a pond. This stuff is great. Will buy again.

Cool looking Koi pond and superior customer service
I have a 1500 gallon gold fish pond and a 7000 Koi pond that were looking a little sad and brown here in winter. And since the water clarity was good I was concerned about the views that might be open to heron, raccoons, possums. Yes I live in the city but have a nice woody acre. So I decided to try the Airmax Black Dye because the blue dye doesn't look good on waterfalls. Well the black is very pretty black with very little product used, but the water coming over the waterfalls looked neutral. That was good. The water in the test tubes for ammonia, nitrites, pH etc was clear so that tests were accurate. That is good. I hope that the lack of penetrating sunlight may slow down string algae as it warms up. But the darkness does not seem to affect water temp. Thats good. And the ponds looked really cool, deep black with the reflection the ads talked about. Until I decided to put some Natures Blue in one to try to get the Twightlight Blue that Airmax also makes but that I didn't buy. Unfortunately it did what ll blue dies did: make it a very pretty but unnatural blue across the waterfall and at the agitation at the bottom of the falls. When I received the products there was a slip enclosed that asked that if I could't give them 5 stars please call or email. I had 2 issues that were going to take my rating to 4 stars so I did as asked and emailed them my feedback. Much to my surprise I didn't get a defensive answer or an excuse as to why they must do what they must do. I got a real back and forth conversation that specifically addressed the feedback I was going to give about dosing for smaller ponds. As a result of the time and interest they took with someone who only spent about 50.00 with them, they have created a repeat customer. So my feedback is that the product is good but use increments of a half or one ounce at a time. If you have a waterfall the Natures Blue will make it look very blue...very bright blue, and I think unnatural. I am going to stick with Black or try Twilight Blue. Thanks Steve! You were a Blessing.

Safe, reliable, shades for fish, tropical paradise color
We love this dye, and the fish love it too. When the dye is in, the fish can be seen clearly swimming high on sunny days, as the water is shaded nicely for them. It also keeps down the algae. We were paying $300 a month for a lake maintenance company to manage our spring fed 1 acre pond. Then we decided to diy it. This color is much prettier than the one the maintenance company used. We now also get our algeacide from Amazon...treat it with that every 2 weeks....just like the company did, then apply this once a month. A full bottle for our 1 acre. This system has saved us so much money! The algeacide we use is the $35 one. Great diy combo for crystal clear, pristine water. It turns out pond into a tropical paradise! It actually lasts longer than a month! As it starts to fade a bit, I retreat. I prefer mine very colored. You can go months before adding. When you get lots of rain, you will need it a bit sooner. It's safe for our fully stocked pond, and we even have foot long goldfish, and it's safe for them all.

Pricy weed control
Properly packaged and shipped on time. A little pricey in my opinion and no matter what I do, I get blue dye everywhere. However it seems to last and helps slow down plant growth which means less work maintaining the pond. I waffled on a fifth star but the price is what brought it down. I might try another brand one day but if it ain’t broke….My pond is 0.1 acres and this bottle will last me one and a half seasons.

Good item
This stuff is great at turning water blue. I tried food coloring for a small fountain pond and after about a day or 2 the water went back to clear but with this i used maybe a tablespoon or about half of a shot glass and it keeps it blue for months. Just don’t get it on your hands it is very hard to get off unless you just want to be a blue person for a few days.

Black Diamond after 24 hours - good so far
So far looks great after half the bottle and 24 hours later. Top pic is before and bottom after with Black Diamond added. Goal, reduce seaweed and increase tree reflections. May need to add a bit more so water less clear closer to shore. Trade off I guess.. seaweed vs protecting fish along shore from herons, etc. still has natural look which was a big concern of ours.

Good
Used in a small frog pond and did not take much and the water had a nice blue to it. Not sure the effect the bacteria is having on it yet.
