BUY THIS! - Sorry for the capitals
Not had much luck with my motorbike. I paid too much for it. It was a bucket of rust under the paint and grease. I knew removing exhaust was gonna be errrm.... Financial Suicide. I've spent so much on it now that I wasn't kean on buying anything else to do little jobs like REMOVING EXHAUST STUD THAT STUCK OUT LESS THAN AN INCH AND WAS RUSTED AND WORN TO A POINT AFTER ALL THE ATTEMPTS MADE ON ITS REMOVAL.I thought. I will get this. Probably won't work. Sad. Depressed. Downhearted I went to bed. Next day this post came. I unpackaged and looked at the smallest size of the set. Sighed heavily and dragged myself outside to the shed. I bet it's too big.2 minutes later. Bolt removed. VICTORY LAP OF THE AVENUE AND SCREAMS OF COME ON BABY! Neighbours thought I'd won the lottery.

Saved me more than once, should be in every toolbox!
These have saved me a number of times when I was in dire straights. First time was I replacing the thermostat on a FIAT Grande Punto 1.3 Multijet when the last remaining bolt rounded out. There is very little access in there so these nut removers (the smaller base set actually) were my last hope and they worked a treat! Oh the relief. This expansion set came came in handy when the locking wheel nuts on my Lexus rusted on and the locking key rounded out. I did have to use a big hammer to drive the nut remover deep onto the frozen nut. The first one came off eventually then I broke my 3/8" 450mm powerbar trying to get the next one so that was enough for the day. They have an external hex so I will try with that when I get a chance. So yes they grip very well. I only wish they made bigger sizes especially with 1/2" drive.Good luck!

What a relief! Saved my life!
So I have this old car its a Fiesta time to do the front brakes ordered all the parts all ready to go. Then the nitemare began! I turned the first caliper bolt. Nothing OH NO! Rounding it off! Stop try something else. I know Molegrips they worked for the brake lines! Nothing rounding off more! NO!!!! PANIC! I try all the other bolts one more this side one more near side (UK) THEY ALL CRACKED AND UNDONE Thank goodness so I replaced the brakes that side. But what the heck do I do about this one bolt? I go onto Youtube lots of guys saying stuff Amazon.... Then I read the reviews. There was this one review where he bought a cheaper thing with little wheels or cylinders or something inside and said.... This did not work and he bought this and it worked! I though well this is a very good make and £20 to undo a bolt is a lot! But without it no car! Maybe a £40 quid mechanic and at least after this was done I would own this tool for the future. I bought it. It arrived one sleepless night imagining drilling out the bolt and goodness knows what! I jack up the car after 3 days of WD40 soaking in and apply the 13mm grip socket to the nut. Doesnt seem to go on OH NO! Then I tap it on with a hammer until it is fully seated. I apply the breaker bar!............. CLICK!!!! Is it broken or undone? IT IS UNDONE!!!!!!! I continue with a ratchet until it is fully undone and it popped right off the bolt! ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU! You know that relief when you undo that stuck bolt? Who ever invented this just saved my life! When you do DIY and are stuck without a car and Amazon can come to the rescue like this as it is delivered no searching stores for the bolt gripper socket and also thank you to that one reviewer who said steer clear of the other stuff this is what works dont be a skinflint and pay the £20 bucks you will thank me in the long run! I THANK YOU! PS I have also seen Youtuber use this same bolt or nut gripper item and you can see the relief on their faces too LOL! JUST BUY IT SERIOUSLY JUST BUY IT! Compared to the REALLY expensive gripper spanners this is actually a bargain as long as you can get it over the thread part of a nut without fouling like only a little bit of bolt showing through the nut. Anyways thats my tale and its done time for a cuppa tea and relax!!! Thank you! IRWIN PS My Dad was a carpenter and sore by their saws he was right great firm great brand! Will shop again and for the Base pack of these so I have the Full set as they work! Am I gushing darn tooting right I am!!! So happy!!! LOL! !! LUL! PS I have all new bolts from FORD to replace the rounded ones and all the rest ;) :) Never wnat to be there again!

In a word? BRILLIANT
These things have been unbelievable. Somehow Irwin managed to produce these things out of not steel, but pure solidified rage, anger and frustration experienced by people with stuck fasteners, because that's the only thing that can explain how these things get the job done where your other laughable, puny tools have failed. In restoring a particularly crusty 23-year-old car, I've had more than a fair share of rust, stuck fasteners and scraped knuckles from repeatedly punching the tarmac, the wall, the car and my own face as I've rapidly approached the point of performing a Satanic ritual attempting to remove rusted nuts and bolts (or as I deem them, 'evil little metal bastards') that turn every half-hour job into a several hour battle of man vs. rust. I'm sure that when I pass on from this planet, my own version of Hell will be a small room with a door to Heaven secured by several rusted bolts, and I will only have a slightly-incorrectly-sized spanner to attempt escape - the ensuing rage would certainly be enough to power the process of boiling the other unfortunates in the outer ring of the seventh circle. Now, in all seriousness I bought this expansion set without the base set as I needed the 19mm-3/4 socket for a rusted oil sump plug that I had lost three nights to in various attempts to remove (it had already been rounded off by a previous owner, and my own attempts had just made it worse), but the thing bit into the rounded head, and just kept on gripping and gripping while I applied a ton of force to it with a breaker bar, and in about five seconds the nut broke free and it was as if nothing ever happened and the plug was freely turning all along. I'm sure I must have looked a right plonker laughing away while under the car.Since then I've had several instances where a nut or bolt refused to play nice, and when I knew it was too late for the fastener and it was destined for the bin, I brought these out and they have never failed me. The only issues I have had have been a totally rounded nut being impossible for the right-sized nut to grip onto, which I resolved by grinding the nut down so that I could hammer on the next-size-lower extractor nut (which then worked as great as I hoped.) and in all but one time, whatever you've needed to extract is usually utterly stuck in the extractor and is a hammer, clamp and chisel job to get out. Despite this abuse the teeth in the extractors nuts still appear as new.I'm sure it's unhealthy to be this pleased by a set of sockets for a breaker bar, but these have paid for themselves several times over and I am now going to purchase the base set so I can have the other sizes for the future just in case (and so I can store them properly instead of loose in a toolbox.)Utterly, utterly brilliant.
