Works well!
This 4.5k unit replaced a broken jacuzzi brand steam unit that originally was there. It was a straightforward install but it did take some time and plumbing/wiring/handyman skills. It exceeds my expectations in steam generation. I had to purchase a slightly underside unit due to the dimensions of the enclosure access but it puts out more than enough steam and heat. No leaks in the fittings or problems with the electronics. I especially like the auto drain function and that the package contained a bonus replacement heating coil element should the one in it ever go bad. I am very pleased.

Best Bang for the Buck!
I bought an earlier version of this steam generator 4 years ago, which provided good service until the water level detector failed, so I bought a new one! The new unit is far superior to the first one, though is the same size -- I was able to swap out the main steam unit without changing wiring or plumbing at all! It fit perfectly. There are also improvements -- the controller was updated and there is a new kind of steam head that diffuses the steam into a dense cloud with just the right size water droplets to quickly fill my steam room -- diffusing the steam better so there are no hotspots, and so the steam diffuses more evenly. I strongly recommend this steamer -- its' the best purchase of anything I bought this year. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the company included an extra heating element, level switch, input water controller, temperature sensor & control unit.

It works, but you have to put up some work.
This is a review one week after installation. I knew it would be a bit of gamble with anything made in China by a Chinese company. It works mostly as advertised. But there are things/improvements left to be desired. After receiving the unit, I was most concerned if the water tank is made of stainless steel and is well made. So I opened up the unit to inspect. Luckily the tank is made of 405 stainless steel although the walls are a bit thin in my opinion. The welding work looks fine to me. I would have return it otherwise. The other thing I see immediately afterwards is the lack of insulation around the water tank. There are insulations on five sides. But there is none on the side where the pipes are coming out. I had to buy insulation material and fill in on my own. The punch-out for the electrical wiring sleeve is barely cut. There is no way to punch it out easily. I had to drill a 1 inch hole myself. There is no instruction on how to use, install the steam outlet. It looks well made. But I thought it was unusable in the beginning. After a while, I figured it all and was quite pleased. The controller is very basic. I wish it allows me to adjust the turn-on, turn-off temperatures. The turn-off temperature can be set. But the turn-off temperature is hard-coded to 5F below the turn-on temperature. I also wish there is a timer for the steam session. The double sided tape on the back of the controller, which holds the controller to the wall, disintegrated in steam environment. I had to take it off and use silicon caulking instead. So it doesn't work as-is inside the steam chamber. There is an electric water valve behind the water inlet. It turns off very abruptly every time. That causes water knocking pretty badly. It happens frequently during the steam generation, which is very annoying. I had to install a water pressure reducer and a flow limiter to fix this problem. Other than these, it works as advertised. I enjoy the steam sauna very much. It is only one week after the installation. I hope it will last.

Cheap Knockoff that Won't Work
- does not work, followed trouble shooting instructions, still no power to unit. - no neutral wire, violates Nat. Elec. Code and potentially dangerous. - would not work with out neutral wire, I tested with multimeter and confirmed power to unit (using ground). - install is cramped and difficult, unless you have a lot of space (mine sits next to shower, not out in the open). - photos in instructions are not of the unit, this was evidently knocked off another company. - after 2 days of difficult install (including drilling holes in my shower tile) I returned it and paid $1,100 for a better one.

Bought twice
Just bought my second one. Bought first one and it lasted 4.5 years no problems. Then it made a noise and tripped breaker. Reset breaker and it worked for a month but seemed to work at half output. It was different cause it took longer to heat up and more steam. Sessions were longer. Shower is 3x5 with tile Switching units was easy Even the wall mount screws were the same. Used old control and thermometer since they were mounted from before. When u put unit in use unions so u can swap out with ease I took apart old unit and noticed a mark on circuit board first input power wire. When I took out heating element I noticed that one was split and another looked like it gapped out. That might have been problem New unit comes with back up element so I can change out if it goes bad again. Was looking to buy a kohler for $1600 but the auto drain was an additional 400. Who’s to say that’s not made in china too. Have a Mr steam up north for 20 years no problem but no way I’m putting $4k + for a steam unit. We’ll see how long this one lasts. 4 1/2 years for $300 was well worth the first one. I also harvested the old water input solenoid , auto drain and pressure relief valve. Sorry for long review Hope it helps
