Superb read!
Superb book. First and last book you’ll ever need on concurrency in c++. Very thorough explanations, code is clear and well presented.I personally felt the book printing was of good quality (in contrast to the other reviews), not sure if they have reprinted the or it is the same as the previous reviews, however the quality is good and should not be a turn off.

The thread pool implemented doesn't work
I love this book I use it to learn and as a reference. I think it is probably the best out there. However, in the implementation of the thread pool something is not right I hade to write some extra code to make it work. It crashed all the time. I rewrote it several times and make sure everything is as the books says but I had to reorder some lines of code and add extra code. It would be nice if the authors revise some of the examples.

Good book, bad quality printing
I confirm other reviews in saying that the book is actually printed in b/w with the same paper and quality of a domestic inkjet printer. If I wasn't an old fashioned reader I would reccommend the digital PDF, which is in colour.Nothing to say about the content. It's very good.

One that I keep going back to
This is a book I have three versions of: first edition paper back, 2nd edition paper back, 2nd edition kindle. It's one of those books I don't reference much, but when I do it's GOLD. I actually misplaced my 2nd edition paper back so bought the kindle version so I wouldn't loose it. I haven't ever read this book straight through, but I think I'm going to try to give that a go this time with kindle version. This is by far a 5 star book, anyone giving it lower because they ard not smart enough to read it ... well ...

The best concurrency book I know.

Very good book!
Very good book, clear explanation of the topic with good theoretical reference as well as explanatory examples. The book starts with an overview of the topics, giving a general idea of the advantages of concurrency, its problems and their possible solutions. It then covers in detail the specific elements, analyzing each in great detail.

A bible for developers who want to master concurrent programming
Pros:* Crisp and to the point content.* Clearly explains "why" things are done in the way they are done.* Enough examples to try out on your own and tweek the code to absorb the concepts.* A nice appendix with other loosely related C++ concepts. Specially helpful for people who don't remember the nitty-gritty details of the concepts while going through the content.
