This would be a great tripod dolly, if...
...the plastic parts were made of metal, and if it was not so adjustable. The casters on this dolly are well made, and what I especially like is that once they are locked in place, they neither roll nor swivel. Thank you, 3Pod for that feature! The dolly arms and center part where they meet are all metal, and seem well made. That this dolly only carries a 1 year warranty may say something about build quality- I will test it out later today at a friend's studio. The part that the tripod feet sit into are plastic, and on the bottom of that plastic part (would it be a shoe ?) are little plastic supports, which I can't imagine them lasting long or really helping. That appears to be the weakest part. I may decide to back engineer the shoes so that they are not adjustable, which I see no need for, since all of my tripods are heavy duty professional Manfrotto 3035 video tripods.
