Very soft and comfortable sheath ...
First impressions when I took it out of the package is that it was very nice and classic made - leather is very soft and subtle and I believe it will work for a variety of different medium size knives that I own - I have always just stuck knives like this with no pocket clip into my pocket with no worries but seems often I find myself looking around the house for where I misplaced my knife only to find that it had slipped out while sitting in my chair or couch - never thought I would be a sheath guy but this one is small, light and you barley notice that you have it on your belt - for the peace of mind of not having to worry about losing my knife while out in public where it will be gone forever is worth it to me - also, I now can free up a bit more precious room in my front pocket for other uses - the Case Sodbuster is the knife shown that I carry in it now - they are around 3.5 inches long and fits great - being a fatter/wider knife it works well and can unbutton and grab with ease - I tried putting the Case Copperlock in it as well ... it’s about the same length as the Sodbuster and it will work ok - that knife is a little slimmer so it sinks into the sheath a bit more than the SB and the tip shows just above the top of the sheath and it’s a little slicker to grab onto and definitely takes a bit more effort to get it out - so it should be fine for 3.5” knives though some will work better than others - most others up to around 4” should fit great ... but again it all depends on the width - overall it’s a great little sheath for the money - time will tell how it holds up but I imagine it will age like a great leather wallet over time - I hope they make one like this in black someday

nice sheath for case russlock
I purchased this sheath for my case russ lock . The sheath is not very big approximately 4 inches in length. I have had this about 3 days and my russ lock fits perfect and quite easy to draw, but is held snug in sheath. As like a holster it will require a little break in. First night wrap knife in wax paper overnight. On the second night insert the knife in the small zip lock that it arrived in over night. When you remove it the knife should exit the sheath perfectly. Do not oil or wet as some folks said to do. All holsters require a slow break in don't over stretch you cant reverse the stretch. This sheath is perfect for the russlock. I have an inch and a half wide gun belt which also fits snug however that to will loosen up after a little wearing of the sheath.

Takes some getting used to . . .
Wow, I was amazed at how small and light this turned out to be when I opened the package, but it seems to work just fine. Very nice quality _thin_ leather, well-stitched and well engineered. The sheath is so trim that the leather really needs to stretch to accommodate even a relatively small knife (a two-blade trapper in this instance) and it takes a week or so with the knife in the sheath before the knife becomes easier to draw from the sheath. (I had worried the knife would slide out when I ordered this product: I had no need to worry - this thing holds knives _tight_.) In fact, I used Ballistol to oil the (bone) scales of the knife to help the grabby split suede interior of the sheath let go of the knife when I draw it; before doing this, it was almost impossible to draw by pinching and pulling out the knife when I was wearing it behind my hip on my belt. (Despite how I have the knife situated in the attached photos, I am carrying it with the spines of the blades facing the stitched edge of the sheath - this allows enough "grab" to hold the knife solidly in place but not so much that it's impossible to draw.) Due to the fine quality of the leather involved, I'm not sure how durable/sturdy this is going to prove to be, but the method of carry pretty much keeps it out of harm's way. Anyhow, it's a really handy product and the price is a steal for the quality of build and materials. The only reason I'm giving it four instead of five stars is that the carry system does take a little getting used to, which really isn't the fault of the product - maybe it actually rates a five. Anyhow, it's definitely worth your time and this small amount of money to buy - I may wind up getting a couple more for other knives.

Bargain deal for the price
Got this for my case trapper. For $13- can’t be beat. It’s not perfect- but it’s perfect if you want to carry a trapper on your belt and you have $13 to spend. Cons- as other reviews have mentioned, the belt is not threaded into a loop in order to wear, but in a slot in the rear of the sheath itself. Not a big deal- it’s a pretty solid sheath. Plus it’s $13.The snap is a little light- might pop open if you brush up against something hard enough. My shirt usually hangs over mine, so not an issue. I keep seeing other reviews mention that the snap might damage your knife as the metal interior portion of the snap is immediately inside the sheath. I don’t think this is a concern as the leather is raised around the snap. So no part of the snap’s metal touches the knife at all. Maybe over time it would compress enough to touch or possibly scuff your knife’s handle- but I don’t carry my trapper to keep its handle pretty. I beat the hell out of it. It’s with me for a reason. I’ve also seen reviews say it’s loose for a standard large trapper. Eh, maybe a little, just enough that it can move some. I don’t ever notice a feeling of it rattling while I’m carrying it tho. ($13)Pro- carries a trapper (or comparable) in a nice comfortable sheath on your belt. Good leather, rivets, solid stitching- I fully expect this will last me a couple years at a minimum, probably longer. If it lasts me 13 months I’ll still call it a bargain and order another one just because it fits the trapper and isn’t too obtrusive on my belt. I’ll add that the sheath is low profile enough that you hardly notice it- slimmer than a buck 110 or leatherman sheath.

Great retention!
Its been a great sheath. I work outside, I'm always up and down and my trapper stays put. 10/10 sheath.
