JUST hand them over! Karen in the Kitchen? Dinner is almost ready: JUST add water!
Late home? Unexpected guests? FROZEN assets? Just vegetables of all sorts and even fruit: tomatoes, corn, peas! Strawberries and bananas! I was very wary of trying JUST whatever products. I Purchased the mixed vegetables they came in a beautiful green bag resealable easy to open and I just put my glass Chinese soup scoop in it. Whenever I had something that would benefit from additional colorful vegetables I JUST put a scoop or two into the pot and wow! The dried vegetables and fruit are JUST delicious! My mouthwatering dishes just became more so! I was very interested in trying the other products and I am so very peased! I mean pleased. I add dried corn to chili and corn bread and chowders. Mixed veg to soups, rice and pot roast. Go ahead and try it. If Karen's in your kitchen you can bet the family is dining IN!

My Favorite Freeze-Dried Strawberries
This is my favorite brand of freeze-dried strawberries and I've tried several of the other best-selling brands. I use these in my Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries cereal, because Post doesn't put anywhere near enough strawberries in the cereal.I like these because the flavor is good, they're crispy/crunchy, and they're sliced. Some of the other brands are selling whole strawberries or ones that are sliced in half. That's just not small enough.Sometimes, if you store the strawberries for many months, they can turn rubbery on you before the expiration date. I asked the company about it and they suggested storing them in the freezer. So here's a photo of my tiny bags of Just Strawberries being stored in my freezer. :)

Tasty!
We pulverized the berries in a food processor to a fine powder and added it to Cream Cheese Icing for cupcakes. It was amazing and had a great strawberry taste without strawberry juice to make the icing runny.

Good bedtime snack.
I love the puffy crisp bananas I tried in the fruit sample packs, so I bought the larger pack expecting the same product. As another customer stated, these are NOT the same as in the sampler. These banana chips are about half the thickness of the ones in the sampler packs, and the quality varies.I have ordered this size of banana chips a few times now, and each bag has been different from the next. The first bag I bought was not crisp or very puffy at all, slightly chewy normal tasting banana chip. However, they tasted wonderful, and have zero additives and no allergens, so I ordered them again. The second bag I bought is crisp, puffy (but still smaller sized than the sampler bananas), and has the same good flavor. I haven't opened the third bag yet, but the bananas look similar to the quality of those in the second bag.So far, even with the varied consistency of product, I'm enjoying these fruit chips. They taste good, don't upset my stomache (as some with additives do), don't cause any allergic reactions ('cause there's just nanners in there), and there is very little fruit bits or powder in the bottom of the bag- no wasted product.I've also found these bananas are the perfect bedtime snack for me. They satisfy my sweets craving at night and actually seem to calm my restlessness making for a better nights sleep.

Used for an ice cream cake. See review below.
I purchased this to use for a strawberry ice cream cake coating.I ground 1 cup of the freeze-dried strawberries with approximately 1 heaping cup of vanilla cream wafer cookies, into a nice crumble. I pressed it onto the sides and top of my frosted ice cream cake.Ice cream cake consisted of:3 each, 1/4-inch yellow cake layers (8-inch)4 -5 cups of homemade strawberry ice cream4 - 5 cups homemade vanilla bean ice cream2 - 3 cups of homemade strawberry sorbet4 cups of sweetened whipped cream (to frost the cake)2 cups of the strawberry crumbleEveryone loved it.

watch out for that
I ate one, it was delicious, and then I dumped the whole bag into the food processor to make a powder for some muffins, not realizing that there are silica desiccant pouches in the bag to keep things dry... so, uh, watch out for that, don't eat desiccant/ruin your muffins.

I am a terrible stress eater
I am impressed with this product. I am a terrible stress eater, and can go through chips or candy very fast when anxious. This product arrived today. I find the texture interesting. It is similar to a crunchy popcorn like caramel corn. You have to chew these a little bit so they will rehydrate before you can swallow. This gives me a crunch that I like, and it really slows down consumption, yet it is chewy. I like the texture. The taste is very tart and the cherry flavor comes through. Sometimes when I stress eat, I want a particular flavor, often something sour/tart. So, this is going to be a wonderful product for me. A tart, but tasty flavor, a good crunch, and it slows down consumption. It is the perfect snack, and the PERFECT diet food. I would probably keep an eye on small children eating this as it is a little hard to swallow if you don't give it time to rehydrate. I

as freeze-dried fruit is not easy to find in my local stores
I got these to put in frosting, as freeze-dried fruit is not easy to find in my local stores. They're slightly pricier than getting anything similar in stores, but for the sake of convenience this is a fairly decent deal. I really like that it has no preservatives or anything else, and although I've never cared for eating freeze dried fruit, my daughter has been eating them since babyhood & loves it. There was a bit of powder in the bottom of the bag, but since I intended to pulverize them anyway that was just an added bonus, or it would've gone great in my smoothies. I mainly use it in baking, and the flavor is fantastic-- I made a strawberry frosting with these & everyone commented on how fresh the berry flavor was. I'm quite pleased with this and will probably be stocking up on other berries in this brand for a variety in flavor & colors. It's the only way I incorporate fruit in frosting now, as it's so much easier than having to boil down fruit or deal with frosting being too liquid, etc.-- not to mention that it's a great way to color your food naturally.
