Excellent
Sometimes I just don't feel like wearing headphones when I'm gaming or watching tv shows or movies on my PC, and I had been using my monitor's speakers for that, which are total trash of course. I was looking for something that would sound better than the monitor speakers, and this soundbar and sub combo is all I could have hoped for, for that. My computer desk is in the corner of the room, so I put the sub under the desk in the corner, and it really puts out some impressively deep and powerful bass, far exceeding what I would have expected. I think I turned down the bass (hold Dolby button down and click the "-" button) about 4 clicks from the default setting was because it was just too much. I was really impressed with the bass that this thing pumps out. I see what people mean about the sub cable's plug being kind of flimsy, but I'm pretty sure it will be fine. It's not like it's going to be moving around or anything like that. The soundbar itself puts out some nice and crisp mids and highs, dialogue sounds really nice and clear especially compared to the muddy sound of the monitor speakers. However, in my opinion the stereo separation isn't too impressive and the soundstage feels a bit narrow. I would say this is more geared for a scenario where it's going to be about arms length or so away from you, not 18ft away from you on the other side of a living room. Overall though, once I got the sub dialed in to where it wasn't overpowering the soundbar, the sound is excellent. I am using my motherboard's optical out port and the sound is great with no noticeable hiss or noise to speak of. I am completely happy with the sound. I read the complaints about the system turning itself off automatically but there must have been a firmware update at some point, because I can confirm that mine doesn't do that. In fact I've accidentally left it turned on overnight a couple times and saw the following morning that it was still powered on. Ironically, that made me kind of wish it DID turn itself off on those occasions, though I think if this product had that option it should either be user-configurable or it should happen after like an hour, not 15 minutes. I totally get why the 15 minute thing would annoy people. At any rate, mine does not do that. I can really only come up with one very minor gripe. This is the fact that sometimes I just want to check which EQ setting I have enabled, of which there are three (Game, Music, Movie). In order to do this, I have to press the EQ button, which temporarily illuminates the LED indicator to show you which setting you're on, and also toggles to the next EQ setting - I'd rather the first press just illuminated the LED indicator and the 2nd press toggled to the next setting, to save me the hassle of cycling through unnecessarily if I happened to already be at the setting I wanted. I guess that's a long way of saying, I wish I could see what EQ setting I was on by just glancing at the soundbar and not having to press anything. It's a very minor issue, and other than that, I really don't have any negatives. I did hesitate on purchasing this because I have never been much of a fan of Razer's stuff to be honest, and I see the reviews that say the soundbar dies right after warranty, or sometimes even before then. I decided to give it a try anyway, and I am really enjoying it. In fact I've hardly touched my headset since I got this, except for when I'm gaming with friends and need a mic. I think this is a terrific product overall, and really hope it lasts me a long time.

Amazing system!
Short review: Amazing sound and quality for the price! Not exactly a 5.1 system, but if you're looking for just a 2.1 system this is sure to blow you away! First things first, I was only looking for a 2.1 system because that's all I have space for. I don't really see this as a 5.1 system. It's more of like a 3.1 system as someone else mentioned. So the fact that it's not a true 5.1 system doesn't matter to me at all. I'm using this for PC so the sound bar is right in front of me, and the second I turned this bad boy on it blew me away! I would consider myself an audiophile, so I wasn't expecting this to be this excellent for the under $200 price range. Bass: The subwoofer literally blew me away, you can feel the air that monster pushes out! It doesn't sound muddy either, I think it might actually be the best sub I've heard! Highs and mids: This is where I was expecting to see a little less performance for the under $200 price. But boy was I pleasantly surprised when I heard music from the Leviathan sound bar! The highs could be a tad better, but for the price you can't beat this! The only "con" would be the auto shut off feature. I don't use my computer for any notifications, so this doesn't bother me one bit. To adjust the bass you hold down the dolby surround button, and while keeping it held use the volume buttons to change it. Lastly, the packaging. I haven't seen anyone comment on it so I thought I would. Even though I usually only see it the first day I have a product, I still really appreciate good quality packaging. Every piece has some sort of tab so you can remove everything with ease. Even the feet for the sound bar were secured in a nice foam pad.

Hint-O'-Surround in a small package
When my desktop speakers recently perished I figured I would try a virtual surround option despite the fact that I'd read that the surround technology was limited with the Leviathan. I have used the Leviathan for a number of days now playing games, listening to music and watching videos. While the impressions I read regarding the virtual 5.1 surround sound lacking are correct for the most part, the Dolby Virtual Speaker technology does in fact provide something beyond a standard 2.0 or 2.1 setup. However, despite the marketing of this product as a viable living room solution for audio, if you are considering the Leviathan for a TV in a normal sized living room, I would absolutely look elsewhere for an audio solution, as everything about the Leviathan's design (from the limited sweet spot of Dolby Virtual Speaker to the lack of a remote control) is geared towards having it positioned right in front of the user at a desk. Strictly as PC speaker, the Leviathan is a serviceable surround sound alternative for gamers who desire a headphone-free 5.1 PC alternative but is limited by space or aesthetics. The surround effect is not nearly as pronounced as the simulated 5.1 headsets that utilize Dolby Headphone, but it does produce results that are notably richer than a typical 2.1 array. If you just want a 5.1 effect without the speakers, there are a variety of headphones on the market that can produce notably better separation results. However if you want a speaker solution that won't clutter your PC area yet approximates surround, the Leviathan is a decent option. As a virtual 3.1 setup, I'd say the Leviathan is a home run, but calling it a 5.1 setup is a bit of a stretch. When adjusting the Windows audio settings and selecting a 5 speaker setup, it honestly sounds exactly like there are 3 distinct speakers in front of you in addition to the surprisingly punchy subwoofer. However, listening to the simulated rear channels from the Windows audio setting reveals that the rear channels are simply a processed version of the left and right channels test tones that sound distinct from the front channels, but it certainly doesn’t give you an impression that the sounds are originating from behind you. I read on the Dolby website that it may work better if there is a wall a few feet behind you that is parallel to the sound bar for the sounds to reflect off of, which I wasn't able to test. In games, which is what this unit is really designed for, I was playing GTA V, and as cars would drive past, the Leviathan did give the illusion that the sounds of passing cars were in fact whooshing past me in 3 dimensions, so the feature does add a slight suggestion of surround sound, but attempting to spatially locate sound sources emanating directly behind my stationary avatar proved impossible with closed eyes, a test both my Astro headphones and an authentic 5.1 setup can pass easily. The Leviathan's pseudo-surround effect can be categorized best as a 'Hint-O'-Surround' noticeable primarily with objects moving rapidly from front to back, like projectiles, vehicles or chatty pedestrians. As a 3.1 device, the left/right separation is surprisingly excellent given the small size of the bar; the virtual center channels and bass are quite satisfying, but the best you can say about the simulated rear channels is that they are 'implied'. Correct positioning of the sound bar seemed of great importance to capitalizing on the virtual surround experience. The array needs to be not only centered, but pointed squarely towards the listener's head such that both ears are equidistant. I also noticed that when I hunched over and leaned towards the bar the quality of the virtual surround seemed to increase somewhat, suggesting that having the bar fairly close was ideal... leaning back or turning my head made any surround effects vanish. Regarding multiple listeners, if there is a group people in around your computer, I'd definitely limit your listening to 2.1 as it’s essentially impossible for more than one person to correctly experience the fake surround effect at a time. One of the most surprising aspects of this device was that the surround effect - however subdued it may be even under the most ideal conditions - seemed to work equally is well whether using the optical or 3.5 mm AUX connection. I have a 5.1 capable SoundBlaster Recon 3D card, and its stereo headphone output sounded just as viable as the supposedly more surround sound friendly optical connection, meaning the Leviathan might be a good alternative for those lacking the optical outputs or multitude of 3.5 mm channel outputs on their computer hardware (e.g. laptops.) The blue tooth paired easily when enabling NFC on my phone in addition to standard pairing required by non-NFC devices like my tablet, and it remembers the last five paired devices for quick device swapping. While the Leviathan sounded as clean as one could have hoped given the limitations of the blue tooth format, just know that only one device can be paired at a time. Virtual surround sound aside, the audio that comes out of the Leviathan is much larger than you would expect given its size and power output, which is significantly less than my older, more powerful units. The bass is particularly robust for such a small package, making music and games come alive without distortion even on higher volumes. As an former owner of the vastly more powerful and expensive Razer Mako 2.1 system, I feel Razor has become more efficient with their speaker design and power utilization. it's not as impressive as more expensive alternatives, but it produces adequate results. The EQ modes are limited yet serviceable. The bass is the only thing that can be adjusted by holding down the Dolby button while hitting the volume arrows, which I didn't feel was that much of a limitation. Having gone with the recommended settings based on what activity I was using (Games, Music or Movies,) I decided to just leave them at their factory bass settings for now, and I think that they are fine overall. So far, my only audio complaint is that the Game preset may have to have its bass turned down a bit in order to remain on good terms with my apartment neighbors. Bass is pronounced, but not at all distorted, and performs far better than I expected based on its modest specs and diminutive size. It fits nicely under my desk and it sounds absolutely huge. The proprietary connector for the subwoofer is a little difficult to connect and disconnect, and seems like it could break fairly easily, but that isn't the sort of thing I imagine will be an issue unless you plan on moving the Leviathan on a regular basis. Still... it seemed extremely delicate, and if it breaks, you can't just pick up a replacement elsewhere to my knowledge, and it's likely you won't be able to find an extension cord should the six foot length prove problematic. While some reviews I've read stated that the automatic powering off of the unit after 20 minutes without any sound is a huge minus for them, it is not something that will bother you unless your computer for random notifications or alarms. (Skype calls out of the blue could be problematic, for instance.) Worth mentioning though is that the Razer forums do have threads discussing free software that can be run on your machine that will play slight sounds periodically to keep the speaker on permanently, but I didn't have any desire to explore such options myself. A final critique I will share is that the inputs don't seem to retain their settings, meaning that if you want your optical input to be set to games and Dolby, but you want the Bluetooth to be set to stereo and music, you will have to change all three of these settings around every time. For such a relatively expensive device when compared to other 2.1 setups, I'd have expected a feature so seemingly obvious and easy to implement. It's not a deal breaker for me, but compounding the problem, the buttons are hidden from view and it requires a bit of fiddling every time you switch the activities. Having the buttons out of the way looks better, but it's not the most ergonomic or visible setup and incorrect button presses are common. Overall, I'm really happy with the Leviathan, but I would recommend you only consider it if you are a PC gamer who enjoys surround sound, but prioritizes a lack of clutter to pronounced channel separation. It makes a great compliment to my Astros A50s, which have an optical pass through which goes to the Leviathan's Toslink input, and I can take a break from the headphones without feeling like I'm missing as much as I would with a typical 2.1 setup.

Prepare to damage your ear drums!
Oh, my God. This sound bar. I thought I knew how good it would be, till I turned it on. So much better than anything I could have hoped for. The dedicated subwoofer is a cut above the rest, especially since it's downward-firing. The best subwoofers are, since the bass goes right into the floor instead of traveling through the air like forward-firing. Much better vibration. The bar itself has excellent sound quality, to the point that my audiophile brother complemented me on my speaker choice! This thing may be billed as a pc gaming sound system, but I've found it works exceptionally well in any indoor sound situation, from music to big screen movies, and of course, heavy duty gaming. The connectivity options are excellent. I like being able to leave the soundbar plugged into my computer, and whenever I want to listen to music on my phone or watch a movie on my tablet, switching over is as simple as pressing a button on the bar. The only thing I can think of that would be a handy improvement(because of course there's always room for improvement) is a remote. It can be a bit of a pain to turn the bass up and down while playing games or watching a movie, if the bar is under the tv and you're on the couch. Everything considered, this soundbar is more than worth the price tag. Hell, this thing blows all other soundbars in this price range out of the wateer easily!

No More Auto Off?!?!
I’ve been in the looking for a good speaker for my PC set up for a while. This wasn’t exactly my first choice, but it’s very convenient for my set up. If I got speakers, they would be behind my monitors which may hinder the sound experience. This soundbar was a perfect fit for the amount if little space I had left in my desk. Sounds: It sounds fantastic. It has 3 different preset for games, music, and movies. I just have it on game all the time because thats what sounds the best to me. It also has Dolby Atmos which works well. There is also a subwoofer which I placed under my desk. It definitely gives out the impactful vibrations I was looking for. You can also adjust the bass by holding the Dolby Atmos button and tapping on the plus and minus buttons to increase or decrease. Auto Off: I’m not sure if they removed the auto off feature, but it has not turned itself off. Haven’t installed the firmware update to prevent it from turning off from inactivity. I’ve left it on for hours without any sound coming from the soundbar, and so far it stays on. Accidentally left it on throughout the night and it has not turned off. So no need to worry about the auto off. Overall, its a great quality soundbar. Big upgrade from the decade old speaker I had.

Good if you want/need a compact setup
I got this to replace my dead Sony sound bar. I have my computer in a mobile setup so having satellite speakers isn't an option. I also don't have a lot of room on my table/desk. I looked at a lot of sound bars, but most are made for TV and had the same issue as my Sony did. If there's no sound for 5 minutes, it shuts off. A TV would turn it back on, but in either computer input mode it would stay off. Some had firmware updates that people said fixed it but after dealing with the power-off on my Sony for so long I wasn't going to risk it. It sounds like such a stupid issue until you've dealt with it for a few days. Loosing all alert sounds after 5 minutes got me several times while working from home. Sound quality is good. Bass is okay, strong enough and clear enough for movies/games, a little weak if you like music loud. Sound bar is easy to discern stereo channels as long as you are dead center. Starts to go mono if you're even a little off. If you have the room for it go with a satellite setup with a bigger subwoofer. This will probably disappoint you in comparison. But if you need a more compact setup that's made for computers, not TVs, I think this is the best option out there. In small spaces the sub and sound bar are plenty loud.

WOW! Don't pay attention to negative reviews! LISTEN
I really have to say, I was blown away by this soundbar (literally). I also own an older Polk Audio 3000 sound bar and have also been around family that have a Vizio soundbar. Let me get straight to the point: 1. "Professionals" are idiots. The watts it pushes has nothing to do with sound quality with technological advances in sound. 2. The BIG advantage to this sound bar is how much smaller it is compared to others, while still being enough for a full living room. 3. Bluetoothed to my PC, first thing I did was play Lindsey Stirling "Crystallize" and I can't even push this thing to the max without HURTING my ears. It has SO much bass and clarity, if you even walk out of the room it sounds like someone with a banging car system is right in the same house. 4. Anyone complaining about it automatically turning off or that it doesn't have a remote.... that is their opinion. I think that is incredibly lazy, if any sound at all is going through it, it stays on. Sorry Razer is trying to help you save on your electricity bill (any bit helps right??) Also, press on once, turn up sound bar while you are there, control volume output from whatever you are using with IT"S remote. How hard is this to understand???? 5. Stop thinking about it, do it, and scoff at anyone being negative about it. That is what I am doing, while completely blasting my room apart with this thing.... and video games and movies are incredible now. 5 out of 5, glad I used common sense and didn't listen to the negative reviews. Will probably buy more. Quality made (heavy not cheap lightweight) portable and rockin. Good job Razer!!!!! YOU DID IT

--- PROS: -The sound is clear and reaches a fairly high volume (the same as my previous Logitech 5.1). -The price is the cheapest in sound bars with recognized brands. -Its wireless connectivity is very powerful and a touch of NFC is enough to connect. -Its pre-installed equalization settings (3) are mostly enough, additionally on a computer or cell phone it can be further modified. -It has some button combinations like Dolby + Volume that increase the bass. -Save a lot of space and its cable management need is minimal. CONS: -It has an optical cable, however the vast majority of computers and televisions that have this input do not have 5.1 licenses for optical cable, therefore, said input serves only as stereo, unless you have the technical knowledge to solve it. -The surround effect is functional but subtle, in such a way that most consumers will ignore it, if you are looking for an obvious or loud surround sound it is not a good option. -The sound source is frontal, therefore the sound bounce has to be taken into account. GRAY AREAS: -There is no control software, it is practically plug-n-play, and this is an important element for users who like to customize but do not have enough technical knowledge or tendency to investigate. In other words, it is for users who like products to "just work themselves" or for those who can profoundly modify them.

Explosive Sound System; with minor flaws.
This soundbar is in one word, powerful. As a fan of heavy bass music, edm & heavy metal; it does justice. Pros - loud, sleek, made for a gaming set-up. (Has a slit at the bottom for cords for mouse & keyboard.) Can be connected via optic, bluetooth, aux. Cons - Its expensive, it does not come with a remote,& the customization that is well reknown with razer is not exactly there for this product. I would love to see this updated and available for sync with synapse. Overall, explosive sound system with a few minor flaws. Would recommend.

Razer sucks
Shipped without au power adaptor even though inside packaging it stated that it should have been shipped with multiple. Have tried for a long time to get them to ship the correct one or refund the product, obviously to no avail. Expensive paper weight. Also owned other razer products that have had issues with such as the wolverine ultimate which broke after a single fall from a 76cm desk. Such amazing quality... Won't ever be buying razer junk again, am slowly replacing with Corsair and have had no issues so far. Stay away from razer. Over 60 emails and months later and I still don't have my part and still getting the same bs excuse of they don't have any adaptors lmfao...
