It’s too wide and too short, is it for little giant’s bagels? I buy bagels from Costco and this product leads to uneven cuts.

I needed another kitchen gadget like a hole in the head but . . .after slicing my finger cutting an oversized English muffin in half I went for it. My dad was a chef and I can just see him rolling his eyes for buying something like this but I'm awful with knives. I bought some very thick English muffins and as they have no start to slicing them my fingers were definitely at risk so the need to purchase this little gem. It is actually quite attractive and I shall leave it near the toaster. Haven't tried it with a bagel yet but certainly will. I have absolutely no guilt for purchasing another item for the kitchen. ;)

Bought it as a gift for a friend. They tend to like larger bagels, and while the bagel did fit in the slicer, it didn't hold it in place very well while cutting.

Ordered this exact product in August of 2013. Loved it! Needed another one now, so I re-ordered the same. Unforunately, the new one has different dimensions than listed. It's 3.9 inches deep by 5.9 inches wide by 5.1 inches tall. None of my recipe cards fit. I've taken a picture to my old one, which has held up beautifully over 9 years and 4 international moves.I'm extraordinarily disappointed. This one also arrived a bit banged up, as it was in no packaging other than it's own product box with no insulation of any kind.I would give 0 stars if I could.

I liked the idea of bamboo, but the reality is the rigidness of this holder means if the bagel is bigger or smaller than the space, it is still a bit tricky to fit or get the even cut. However, it is still better than trying to hold with your hand. The wooden Bagel Slicer has the pocket but the sides are shorter then beneficial for holding the bagel to start the cut. You will likely have it cut 2/3 though before the knife guide will do it's intended purpose. What I'm pleased mostly with is it catches any crumbs while slicing. Remember to clean out the inside.

A disappointing purchase. Product received was not as illustrated nor the size as noted in the product description. The bagel holder is too wide for the typical bagel, allowing the bagel to wiggle side to side when attempting to cut, and resulting in an uneven top and bottom split in the bagel. The bagel holder is not tall enough for typical bagel. The cutting starts before the knife is the guides ... offers no real advantage to a simply cutting board.

This is a very simple device that does its job extremely well. If you have found it difficult to slice a bagel accurately or are continually having to avoid cutting the finger holding it, this is for you. My best effort previously was to hold the bagel upright using a fork in the lower rim. This does work but it is difficult to obtain an accurate cut and the bagel wobbles around.Using this holder, you just pop in the bagel and as soon as you start slicing, the bagel is held upright between the sides. Works quite well with smaller, narrower bagelsPerfect. Excellent purchase.

Nicely made but it’s not deep enough for bagels

Unfortunately the bagels we tend to get from Sainsburys are bigger than the block and so it is a bit of a squash to get the bagel in and then it breaks. Little disappointing

Boîte conforme à l’image, ce que je pourrais lui reprocher c’est de ne pas s’avoir deux sections de retenue permettant d’utiliser différentes grandeurs de bagel. si vous acheter des bagels assez gros pas de problème mais si vous acheter des bagels chez celui qui les fait sur place, Ils seront plus étroit et ça devient un peu plus compliqué de couper car la largeur du boîtier ne correspond pas à sa grandeur.J’aime tout de même le produit qui me permettra de déposer le bagel et je trouverai quelque chose pour l’immobilisé quand je couperai ce n’est pas parfait.
