Wild Bird Guide: Red-Tailed Hawk (Wild Bird Guides)

As it is, still a good short summary
This 95 page book, now out of print in the paper edition, is the only one on this particular species. There are other accounts of single pairs, such as Red Tails In Love. Without maps or graphs, only color photos, the book explains the life and ecology of the bird. It would have been useful to add some maps and interpret the data in areas where another hawk is the more numerous species. But as it is, still a good short summary,

I learned a lot from this book, I would highly recommend if you’re interested in Birds of Prey!

Red Tailed Hawk
Good simple, direct book with useful pictures and information. Good to have in a library w/ other books for falconer w/ a red tail or considering one.

A very good book that's very informative about an awesome bird
A very good book that's very informative about an awesome bird. I would need a dictionary to look up some of the scientific words but otherwise very good.

beautiful pictures, educational guide
I was looking for a book with good color photographs of red-tail hawks. There was plenty of information about the hawks and where they can be found.

Great book for specific species information.
This book is an excellent overview of the Red-tailed Hawk, giving the already experienced raptor-watcher and fledgling birdwatcher alike a very thorough description of this Hawk's lifestyle. Recommended. Some of the photographs seemed less than ideal for book publication, however.

Nice but very specific
Lovely photos but the author means it when he says the book is about red-tailed hawks. Don't bother to go looking for other variations.
