Really pretty moss, and it is still alive!
I got this for my daughter's and my plant vivarium, because our plants require a more humid environment and we were having to water way too much because the vivarium was drying out too quickly. We chose this moss for the texture and the color. It's slightly less green than the product images show, but it still looks nice. We followed the instructions on the package and soaked it in distilled water before putting it in the vivarium, and as the packaging states, the moss did come back to life (it's in a dormant state when dried but with the right conditions it comes out of dormancy. We keep it moist but not sopping wet and it is thriving. One note, when we first put this moss in the vivarium, after a few days we noticed white mold growing. I freaked out a little at first, but after doing a little research, I found out that a mold bloom is common when adding more moisture into an environment, because mold spores are pretty much everywhere, and it will eventually settle itself down. You can settle it down faster by adding springtails, which are tiny isopods that basically are like a cleaning crew, or by disrupting the mold patches by breaking them up (wiping it down or using a little vinegar, rubbing alcohol, or peroxide). I just physically broke up whatever mold patches I saw because I didn't want to harm the moss with alcohol or peroxide, and the mold did go away.

Frog terrarium approved
We used this in my son’s white tree frog terrarium and it is good value and durability for the price. It has nice coloring as well which is a bonus but appreciated.

Beautiful Natural Moss, Great for Kokedama!
I used this moss for making kokedama and it looks great—lush green and natural texture. You get quite a bit for the price (8-quart bag), and it arrived well-packed and not overly dry. Tip: Mist it lightly before use to revive the color even more.

Great value, beautiful moss!
HUGE bag of full, green layers of real moss. It’s beautiful and if you water it and plant it over good substrate, it will grow and stay green. The bag has a ton of moss; great value!

Beautiful sheet moss that stinks but it's worth it!
Very plush moss. One sheet was almost 2 inches thick. As others have mentioned, it does dry out a bit quickly, but I'd rather mist more often than have to worry about mold. I used 2 sheets on kokedama projects and it looks great and has sent up living shoots which will look really neat as it grows. The only downside is the smell. It's hard to describe and differs from sheet to sheet. One smelled of fish emulsion, and one of very earthy mold. Both sheets smell fine now and no mold growth, but it took about a week, multiple soaks, and quite a few misting/drying cycles for the smell to dissipate completely. Overall I'm satisfied with the product and would buy it again. I didn't deduct any stars for the smell because the stink is worth powering through for the quality.

Best moss on the market
Galapagos moss is top tier, the moss is bright and vibrant and my isopods love to crawl around in it. The moss is durable and doesn't fall apart on you. The texture is soft but firm. The sheets hold moisture well and it is free from parasites..

The package comes with quite a bit. In a very humid vivarium, the moss will quickly lose its green colour after a day or so. This is probably better for a terrarium with only slight humidity. Frog moss comes with a lot less, looks better, and does better in very humid vivariums. Picture Below: This was taken a week after both mosses were put in the vivarium. The moss on the left is the sheet moss, and the moss on the right is the frog moss. This is in a very wet vivarium.
