A mix of a-sort-of-Badaaazzzz with The Jewish Hummer as Oscar, a middle aged cook and call-killer, tries epitomizing himself in memoirs-or a cooking book?

The only other film I can think of that comes anywhere near the excellence of this one is 'Auf Herz und Nieren' which, coincidentally, also has a 'Russian' conntection, albeit not to the scale of this mafia-oriented film that proves that Moritz Bleibtreu came of age long before 'The Bader-Meinhof Complex', since, as Valentin, he gives one of the best performance of his acting career.  With Henry Hubchen, Corrina Harfourch, Paulus Manker, Georg Friedrich, Josef Hader, Nadeshda Brennicke, and others, this Austro-German collaboration is an absolute classic, and one that you will want to return to again and again, not least for the music.

Dieser Film ist eine Komödie sondersgleichen. Nicht minder lustig und zudem spielt auch noch Vincent Klink mit. Sehr starke Schauspieler und die Story irrwitzig. Der Humor kommt hier nicht zu kurz. Absolut einer meiner Lieblingsfilme.
