It's actually fine, I missed that it didn't have a rim based on pix & description. However, it's nicely crafted finish & color wise. Expect will be fine as a display base for my ceramic christmas tree, will use museum wax to keep in place, makes it cat proof!

Nice stand

It looks nice, and I like that it had a hole pre-drilled in the center. But you get what you pay for. The price was great, but it's not solid wood. It's some kind of "sawdust" composite so it was very easy to enlarge the hole in the center, but I don't know how sturdy it's going to be. It also came wrapped in two pieces of very thin paper (No box) so there was a small nick in the top edge. Not enough for me to send it back, I'll just put the nick in the back where it won't be seen. It's on okay product, but probably wouldn't purchase again.

Great product for the figurines in an Asian inspired room

Not worth it. Arrived damaged on edges (it came in a shipping bag & not a box!?) and the finish on the three bottom feet is terrible. I would have to shave off the glops of finish to level it and then put on felt pads spending about 30 minutes of my time with no guarantee that it would even help. I would give this zero stars if there was an option. Photos #1, 4 & 5 illustrate the horrible feet that would scratch ANY table surface. Photos 2 &3 show the visible damage on the edges. Hard pass!

I ordered two of these in different sizes, partly because they seemed very inexpensive compared to some others. They're rather low and unobtrusive, which is fine for a base to add a decorative Asian touch. After all, the important thing is the item displayed, not so much the stand it sits on. Granted, they're not teak, and don't look like it, but they're nicely finished in a glossy dark cherry tone that would blend well with any decor.
