Gave out after two months. I am currently looking into a warranty claim.
I've owned other ThruNite products before and ordered the handheld 3800 lumen flashlight at the same time I ordered this head lamp. For the first few months it was great and took a charge pretty quickly. Then it started draining super quickly and failing on me when I was out at night with the dog. Basically I would use the 2nd highest setting and occasionally the "turbo" mode (click twice on the button from any other setting including Off) which I understood would drain the battery (and make it heat up) pretty quickly. Now I can't trust it anymore and it stays at home less than 3 months after I started using it. The handheld flashlight remains strong and charges quickly. I will be looking into a warranty claim but given how quickly it died after 2 months of nightly use, I probably will be asking for my money back or a different product and do not recommend this particular ThruNite model until they can fix the QC issues with the battery.

Battery life so far has been impressive, construction is solid.
I was impressed with this headlamp that can double as a flashlight. Comes with a clip, extra parts for anticipated wear and tear, and a charger cord. Battery life so far has been impressive, construction is solid. The distance that it illuminates appears to be at least as far as advertised, if not more. My only observation is that the headlamp 'harness' is not well padded in the front. If you are planning on wearing it for a long time a little padding might be advised (bandana, etc) for some users.

Super versatile, amazingly good flashlight
This flashlight is a whole world better than any of the other small led and other flashlights I have owned over the years. The battery life is amazing. I use it on the first two settings most of the time. I have been using it around the house, working on my cars, and at work. Surprisingly at work I am using it 90 percent of the time. The ability to stand it on end, with the light at a right angle at different brightnesses is perfect for the Injection Mold making and modifications at my work. Im using it to illuminate parts that I am inspecting and or modifying. Its much easier and faster than the very expensive inspection lights. And it has a much brighter and clearer light pattern. Setting it on its side, the squared off head keeps it where you placed it. The batterys weight keeps it stable when set vertical with the light at a 90. Its just an amazingly good light. I am going to be ordering several more. 10/10.

Thrower
I use this light to navigate a small hunting boat at night and have been searching for a single battery headlamp with more throw than the typical LED headlamp offers and this one fits the bill nicely.Where I navigate include wooded trails where the normal high setting on the light is more than enough because I’m not really trying to see more than about 25 yards ahead of me at a time. When I enter more open bodies of water where I may need to see to the far shoreline 2 or 300 yards away, double clicking into the turbo mode just barely makes it that for which helps me keep my orientation.I wish they would make a headlamp which has similar throw but instead of a 2-3 minute turbo mode calculate how long the sucker can run at a higher output level between the normal high setting and the turbo that will also give it a runtime of 30 to 45 minutes in cold weather.

Great Light! Use it all the time.
This is a great light; super bright when needed. In the month since I have had it, I have used it more than my other cheap dim headlamps in the past year. So many of the headlamps which I have tried require you to click through 3 to 4 modes every time you use it even tho I always want the brightest. Biggest Pain in the you know what. This lamp allows you to click through several brightness's, but the beauty of this one is that it remembers the last time you used it and always goes back to it with one click. In 80% of cases one click gets me where I want to be which is usually not the brightest. I don't need a strobe, a red light, etc. that many headlamps try to sell you. Great Job ThruNite.

Never run your battery all the way down.
I own the model before I bought this one I've owned that one for 3 1/2 years its been awsome head light. Looking forward to trying this one out. The only thing is not having the light in the center. I keep turning my head to compensate and hitting my head. Lol so far it's everything I expected and more.

Headlamp thrower is a beast
Great battery life. Very strong beam. Solid construction. Smooth operation. I have many headlamps from wowtac to armytec to Nitecore. This thrunight has by far the longest throw beam. Extremely bright without getting overly hot in your hands. Battery life indicator is extremely handy. Never have to worry how much battery life left with the indicator. Easy to recharge. Bonus comes with battery. Great light for the money!!
