Intoxicated Cupcakes: 41 Tipsy Treats

I have a good number of cookbooks--more than I usually assume I have, and certainly more than I use frequently. While I purchase each cookbook with a certain aspiration of (eating great food, learning a new cuisine) this is one of just a few cook books I have that I turn to over and over. Part of that is because the cupcakes are simply very inventive without being over complex or too fussy. There are cupcakes in here that are consistent hits when I've made them--Bright and Cheery Orange is one of my favorites.Aside from that, the photos of the cupcakes are terrific--and show off food not only as edible, delectable, but as visual form. If you're in any doubt, go straight to The Car Bomb cupcakes--recipe and photo--pure sculpture, all great cupcake.

i like this book. if you already have a cupcake book that shows you how to incorporate alcohol then i dont think you need this one too. its an okay book but im not sold on the outcome of my cupcakes. some are a bit dry, it could just be me. not enough tips in the book on the recipes, some recipes dont have a picture, that could be another reason why im not too big on this book.

This is what Ive been hoping to find! I work w a group of booze hounds, and knowing I can come prepared for a company potluck is crucial! Lol I gotta say shipping was quick and and I made a batch of cupcakes the day I received book. Dont have book in front of me but it was a recipe that used Guinness beer. Before people b*tch and moan, I'm sure one can get anything ya need ( ex: a recipe) off the internet...but I like having cookbooks. So for me, I'm happy w this purchase! :)

I heard about this book on npr and had an upcoming party that I promised to make cupcakes for, so I thought these would be a great idea. I've made a couple of recipes (choc stout and banana upside down). Both were amazing! The choc stout cupcakes were such a hit at the party - very moist and the cream cheese icing is to die for. The recipes were easy to follow, and there are great tips throughout the book. Definitely a fun twist... this will be my "go to" choc cupcake recipe from now on!

As soon as I received the book, I had to try one of the cupcakes. They all look amazing from the pictures. I made the Champagne Party cupcakes for an adult birthday party and they were a huge hit. I am a stay at home mom (not a chef) so I can honestly say that the instructions were easy to follow and not a laundry list of ingredients. This book is definitely worth getting..you will not be disappointed. The cupcakes were such a hit, I am trying a second recipe for another party!

Weird combinations, photography doesn’t excite me to make most of these. The book is very small. If it were eligible for free return not would be going back.

I got this book and have been drooling as I look through it, gazing at the beautiful pictures that accompany the recipes. This is a very fun collection with a lot of exciting cupcakes to help slowly clean out my alcohol stash. I started with the Buttery Cinnamony Cupcakes this week, and they were a huge hit. I'm excited about so many of the recipes in this book and can't wait to try more!

I purchased this book for a friend who is obsessed with baking cupcakes. The book did take awhile to arrive, around 15 days and i did not have a tracking number for it, however it was in great condition when it did arrive and she loved it.

Wish I had known measurements for recipes were in US cups..I don't like using cups or the conversions as things never seem to turn out quite right! However, lots of boozy cakes to experiment with, ingredients look divine, should taste heavenly!
