Nice Wheel Stand
Good stand. Solid, heavy, no flex in the pedal plate. Extra hardware was included (your mileage may vary). Assembly took about 25 minutes which included taking my old setup down. My use case is a direct drive wheel usually set around 8nm. Sequential shifter mounted easily as well on the shifter mount. Load cell brake. Everything feels very stable while driving; braking is consistent and predictable. I'm 6'3 and was able to adjust it to fit me. Great product for the price!

Sturdy-Highly Adjustable-Compact Storage-!Heavy!
NO MIDDLE BAR and METAL FRAME I'm 6'3" and I couldn't comfortably use the Wheel Stand Pro (a fine product itself, just not for me). The lack of this bar requires that Omega uses a frame. Their metal frame gives it a larger footprint than the WSP and it is considerably heavier. But, the lack of that middle bar makes the Omega an easy product to recommend if you are having issues with the former's kind of construction. COMPACT STORAGE but NOT EASY TO MOVE: It is easy to fold up and get ready to move. The swing-arm design of the footboard EASILY slides forward allowing the frame to collapse down with a gentle push. The frame can fold to a fully vertical position with the attachments still on it--but you would need to secure it to stop it from tipping. Giving it a little triangle base allows it to stay quite compact if you are just sliding it out of the way in your gaming area. The picture I included shows it folded up with my gaming chair for scale. My desk's sitting area is in a corner of a small apartment room and it has about 22 sq. ft. for my chair, this wheel stand, and a small bookcase. They all fit easily with room to slide around and use the space--even with the stand deployed! However, as compact, as it can be, the heavy metal frame makes it quite unwieldy to tote around. It is not likely something you will want to drag out for a short 20-minute game session and then put back up on a regular basis. For example, if you are using this at your PC where you work/play other games--moving this in and out each evening might become a chore. Once it is set, you're probably going to want to use it for a while and vice-versa once stored. There's nothing wrong with moving it as needed, but it is going to be an investment of time and exertion to get it set up. STURDY AND SECURE: Despite the ability to collapse for storage, this is a strong frame and remains sturdy when deployed for play. The foot pedals are locked into place and will accept heavy input without sliding on the floorboard. The wheel does not tilt once it is locked down. There are rubber feet that keep the frame from moving and your floor protected. These feet are height-adjustable allowing you to compensate for any unevenness in your floor. ADJUSTABLE? (YES and NO): Wheel height is highly adjustable and easy to move through tension knobs. Pedal length is highly adjustable for any driver's size. However, to achieve security for play the pedal base is bolted to the frame using 2 or 4 screws (G27). Once the pedals are installed, if you wanted to adjust them, you would be required to get on the floor, swing the floorboard forward, reach underneath and loosen/retighten the screws between each adjustment. If you are playing in a small space and/or sharing this rig with a spouse of a different height or between kids of varying ages, this could become very tiresome. The gear shift can be mounted on the left or right side of the frame. However, the height is set by the length of its attachment bar which is not adjustable. And, the shifter drops down pretty low. This feels fantastic and quite natural for driving, but if you are using an office chair with high armbars that are not adjustable, you may have to let your arm hang free off the side while shifting--that could be wearying after a while. SIMPLE INSTALLATION: Pretty easy task. The instructions are basic in the now typical IKEAesque picture formats. There was no mention of which screw to use to mount specific accessories but it wasn't hard to figure that out. CHECK FOR YOUR PARTS before assembling. My box was missing a nut and a couple of screws had fallen out of the plastic bags they were in and became stuck on the tape of the frame's packaging. If I hadn't counted, those could have easily ended up in the trash. Given that there are seemingly extra pieces depending on which wheel you are installing, it didn't cause an issue. Due to the inability to easily adjust the pedals after installation, if you are putting this in a small space or under a desk, make sure you adjust the pedal length during installation before locking them down and moving it to your gaming area (lesson learned the hard way) :) VALUE: This wheel stand is fantastic and worth the money. It is INFINITELY more fun to drive both in American Truck Simulator as well as F1 2020 without a middle bar to contend with. Short of having a racing seat, I think this is probably your best bet. Take some measurements of your gaming space and plan ahead for storage, this is a larger gaming accessory and it is heavy. I wouldn't pick this up if I was a casual driver who is only going to spend 20-30 minutes at a time in front of their gaming system or regular work PC. I think there are easier options for you. But, if you are looking to try and immerse more into driving games and you are going to invest some time into them, I'd highly suggest this product. It is comfortable to use, it feels natural when you drive. 5/5 stars -- I'd love easier pedal adjustments and the inability to adjust the gear shift height is a little annoying. But for me, as this is set up only for myself and I don't have to deal with that again, I'm not taking a star off for it. :)

Great wheelstand with one exception
This truly is a great, portable wheelstand for the price you pay. It’s sturdy, heavy, and quality built. I’m running a Fanatec Clubsport setup on it all around and it doesn’t wobble, move or shake. Most importantly it’s very simple and easy to fold up and store. Now I did say there’s one exception. The only slight issue I have is the shifter mount. The photos show multiple different shifters mounted including the Fanatec one. In my use I’ve noticed that after a while of playing, the platform had become slightly loose to the point that it would move back and forth when I would shift. It could be due to the Fanatec shifter being significantly heavier than the others shown. This doesn’t sound like much of an issue, and really it may not be, but I’d prefer it if the platform stayed still better. What I did to counter this is use two of the small washers included and it seems to hold up a lot better. My suggestion to GT Omega would be this: Possibly consider repositioning the holes for the shifter platform mount so that the leverage force from shifting is evenly distributed and not focused to one side more than the other. Or if it were somehow possible, weld or manufacture the shifter platform and arm together that way the only point of contact is the base of the arm to the wheelstand. Overall, an amazing item that I would definitely recommend to anyone who is into sim racing but has to be space conscious.

Looked at a lot of wheel stands online and in store, probably over 3 months. This looked like a good and sturdy stand but was a little hesitant as it also looked like it might not adjust quite enough for someone 5'7" and shorter (my wife). Found a good price one day on Amazon and having not found anything else I would pull the trigger on decided to go for this Omega GT (Apex version) and take my chances as it was not overly expensive, like a lot of others. What a great decision, this wheel stand is a tank, very heavy and solid and way more adjustable than I was led to believe. It easily would work for people 5'3" to over 6' (unless you have some weird chair situation maybe). It folds much easier than it looked like in photos and even how it was described by sellers (with the wheel and pedals attached, don't have a shifter yet and yes that may protrude out a little more than the wheel I suspect). Once folded it stands solidly upright, no worries of it falling over or even getting knocked over. Could even go under a bed if you're careful with the steering wheel. Left the round floor feet off for now as I did not want impressions in my carpet and I wanted it to slide on the carpet to get behind it more easily. Even without the feet it's a very solid stand and does not move when in use (your feet on the pedals and hanging onto the steering wheel is more than enough to keep it in place). There is zero movement side to side under any circumstances, harsh use or maximum force feedback through the wheel (have the Thrustmaster TX Ferrari 458 wheel, which fit perfectly on the stand). It came with a pad/stand attachment for a shifter that goes on either one of the side rails and it is heavy gauge steel like the rest of the stand. I'm sure it would be rock solid as well with the hardware that comes with it. Had considered the Omega standard stand as it looked like it could adjust the overall angle better, down where the sides attach to the base, but I seriously doubt it is anywhere near as sturdy as the Apex stand (a much sturdier looking design) and the Apex stand with it's other adjustments gets you all the adjustment you'll need anyway. Plus the difference in price at the time I purchased was only $10. There are a few wheel stands that look as good, perhaps even a little better, but for twice (or more) the price. And I can't imagine anything else being appreciably sturdier or more fold-able. This is a heavy, sturdy, adjustable and fold-able stand, everything the average user that does not have a dedicated space for racing would want. It's the best wheel stand for the price period!

Thank you!

If you’ve no room for a full cockpit this is ideal for a basic steering wheel It’s extremely well built and sturdy. I’ve not noticed any movement on the base where the wheel is situated while steering. The pedals can be raised , lowered, moved backwards or forwards depending on your preference. It is foldable so can be stored away under the bed or in a corner out of the way. It is quite heavy but that just proves it’s built with quality materials. Very easy to assemble. If later on you find more room you can also add a frame and race seat to feel more like a racing cockpit. There area lot of cheaper wheel stands but not of this standard or quality. If you’re still not sure go on YouTube and look up Karl Gosling he reviews everything to do with sim racing. He’s the reason I decided on this stand and I’ve no complaints.
