I had to rewire unit just to get to work. It kind of depends on how skilled you are in wiring. I'd choose another, as out of box singularly had to tear apart and rewire to prevent fire hazard of wires coming loose at connection point. I made it work but didnt work out of box. **Q: What would cause this to glow prior to turning it on? When you turn it on it lights right up to the normal output.** A: You must have voltage coming back through the ground or common. You need a electrician to verify your wiring. **Q: Where does the ground wire attach?** A: The ground is not need to be attached, because our led ceiling light is made of double layer insulating materials, it totally protect people from electric shock. And it simplifies the installation process. **Q: Can this be mounted to a 3inch junction box that’s already in the cement ceiling?** A: I don’t see why it can’t. Assuming that your box is recessed into the ceiling, at worse you might have to do minor modification of the attachment plate, it should work out fine.
