Magnet to the cover is Strong and works well with the sleep/wake on my new IPAD Pro 12.9 (3rd Gen 2018). The case provides excellent protection and the pencil holder holds the apple pencil firmly. Time will tell on the durability of the case but on first look it looks well made. The case fits well, and was relatively easy to put on.The cover executes the temporary shutdown reliably when closed. I can’t comment on the reliability after two days use, so I gave 4 stars for that, but it looks reasonably robust. I was disappointed that the activated carbon sachet used to ensure freshness during transport had burst and although most of the escaped carbon brushed off the microfibre interior it left a stain.
