Great deal and instal to install.

The blower really blows the heat out of the fireplace with the flip-of-a-switch.This unit is a bit noisy though, similar to a large fan. I'll probably buy a quieter one next season.

Puts out great air flow but I found out after I purchased it my fireplace was not made for a blower. I have a Majestic Vermont Coatings NVBC36RN insert and I have been told these units were not made for a blower. If anybody has had any experience with these units and has made a blower work I would appreciate knowing how you did it. Thanks, Jim T [email protected]

Quick ship, easy to install, suggest using 2 sided sticky rubber or foam a bit thicker than velcro as bottom is a bit rounded and back has lip that won't fit flush with back of hearth. If not screw to back of hearth with sheet metal screws with rubber washers to prevent any noise from vibration. Installed correctly you should have no more noise than a regular box fan.

This fan was good while it lasted. I purchased it in February 2016, it seized up on me today (December 2017.) It was used in a Ladera fireplace as a replacement for the stock, that also failed about a year or 2 in. Planning to take it apart and figure out what went wrong, bearing or motor. Obviously not built for hot environments. I estimate about 700 hrs on the motor to failure.Edit: I added new grease to the bushings, and its running strong again! This summer, i will clean it out and add high temp grease.

Would have been 5 stars if it hadn't been such a giant pain to install. Had to completely deconstruct the entire fireplace to make this work. Works very well though, can't complain about the end result.

A bit loud compared to my old one, but moves lots of air. Only been installed 2 days so far, so don't know about longevity yet.

Everything is great except it's much louder than anticipated. I would go e it a five star rating if it was quieter. Keep in mind this thing doesn't install itself. You may need to be creative to make it fit your application.
