My elderly Italian spinone is a bit creaky and also a dog that likes to sleep in a variety of ways - stretched out, draped over a bed with head touching floor, curled up tightly or with legs all over the place and head on a bolster! He also likes to do a bit of nesting (on and off) before he settles for sleep. So we have two beds he likes to use (made of two beds each). One's an orthopaedic foam slab with soft platform bed on top. One's a bolster bed with a soft platform bed inside it. Most of these are Orvis beds so pretty pricey. This means we can cover all the ways he likes to sleep whilst providing sufficient support for his old joints and also providing some comfy squishiness.He's off to his all-time favourite kennels for a couple of weeks and he's taking his own beds this time to keep him comfortable. So what to take? Well, the foam slab is definitely going as it has a waterproof cover so will be fine in the kennel. But what to put on top? I did order a Fristone bolster bed from Amazon but he didn't get to try it out as the size, finish and quality were very different from the description and photos on Amazon. That was sent back.This Danish Design bed looked very appealing, similar in style to my Orvis platform beds but a fraction of their price, was down as deep fill (it is), I know Danish Design to have a nice quality of cover, and the size looked to be excellent. The price was also very appealing as, should it get damaged in the kennels, it would not be a major issue.I was not disappointed when the bed arrived. It is exactly as portrayed on the Amazon website. The size is as described. The design is very contemporary, a lovely colour and nice quality of fabric. The cover is easily removed and washable. The mattress is also washable, and well filled. Ghillie has been more than happy to test this out on his orthopaedic foam slab. And...he gives it a paws up! For a dog that doesn't need the addition of an orthopaedic foam slab, but which likes a deep fill, squishy but slightly supportive bed then this would be a good buy.I'm so happy with my purchase that I have since ordered a spare cover in a different design as I know it can be used for this bed or for my Orivis platform beds in future.This was a very good purchase.

Good quality fabric, quick to dry, dog digs a little at it before lying down and it has held up without noticeable damage. Will buy another.

This is my third danish design dog bed. Although they are not cheap, they are worth every penny. The covers are really well made and extremely hard wearing - they have outlived two lovely black labs!

All of my dogs love this bed. Unfortunately they can’t all get on it at the same time. Definitely recommend

We love this bed. Bought two for our goldens. Easy to wash and dry and not too hot a material for they love their bed year round.

Received the dog bed earlier than expected, but once opened the internal wrapping was torn and some of the bed was dirty. Either it had been damaged in a warehouse or when packed. I think in the warehouse. Photos included. It looked like it had been chewed by rats or something. I think it hadn't been checked before the final wrapping added.The bed itself feels rather clumpy so hope it will sort itself out once flattened.I'm not sending it back because I have nothing to wrap it in as it's bulky. So will have to wash the dirty bit.

As soon as I opened the package my dog jumped on to the bed and was rolling around. It's soft and very well cushioned. The deer stag design is beautiful. It's so gorgeous I have already bought another one!
