Nov 2018 - Original Purchase Date: Bought pack of 3 in grey. Bought the 6.5 to 8.5 mens even though my size is 9.5. Wanted a snug fit and they fit great with no excess. 1 pair after washing weighs 53g/1.8 oz/Backpacked 3 full days in the mountains and some rain. No issues at all. Good cushion on foot bottoms, heel, and the top of foot. Feet breathed adequately with the nylon stocking-like ventilation areas where padding is not needed. I can't speak for drying time in the field because it was wet and overcast the whole time but they would dry fine in the sun or dry air.They hold up well** 3 Year Update 2021 ** These Danish Endurance socks have suffered several hundred miles and many laundry/dryer cycles in the last 3 years and they are holding up very well. The Merino wool is now clearly looking like well worn wool should look. On ~10 to 12 occassions I have worn the same pair for 5 days straight, backpacking 40 to 60 miles in the wet and humid Appalachian & Smoky Mountains and they continue to perform better than I had expected. Quick Dry? Yes, on low humidity days just like anything else. Hanging overnight on a humid night allows them to dry somewhat. Re-wearing the next day is actually not a bad experience at all. These socks don't stink just as Merino wool is advertised. Comfort? I buy smaller sized socks to ensure they don't bunch up in my shoes/boots and that makes them comfortable for me. My feet never get hot in the summer with these. Holes? None in 3 years. If you get holes near your toe nails... trim your toe nails. If you get holes on the pads/heels of your feet... stop walking around the house with them. The elastic around the lower calf has not worn out at all. Smartwool, etc.? Yep, those are great socks. I have a bunch, but I don't hike with them in the warm season. I wear these. These are higher quality than expected socks for a fair price. If you find bad reviews for these socks, oh well. I just bought another pack of these so I have more when my 3 year old socks decide to quit.

Warm, comfortable, and yet not too warm to work in. Also, they have a good 'staying power' I don't know how better to phrase it than that. The socks don't end up at my ankles by the end of the day. Should be great for both work and leisure-wear.All that being said, delivery takes forever and the Amazon package when it arrived was opened and 1 pair of the 3 I ordered was missing. Did not proceed with refund as I received 2 of the 3, but lowered my rating and will only buy directly from company if I can find them online instead of Amazon in future. Recommend not purchasing on Amazon and from Danish Endurance's website instead.

I have always wore cotton socks purchased at local department stores. To me, socks were socks. I was wrong! These were very comfortable. After working all day, my feet are dry and odor free. I can't go back to cotton any more. Danish Endurance has a blend of materials that keep my feet feeling better than ever before. They are worth the money. I recommend them.

Got these for all the seasons - cooling the feet in summer & keeping them warm in the winter.PROS: - Do what they are supposed to do - good insulation to keep feet at ideal temps - Great padding for hiking! Super comfy! - Nice fit - as expected. - Wash well. No fading/stretching/falling apart.CONS: - Not really a con...but I wish these had the option to come in a above-the-calf length to be even more useful hiking in brush.

I needed some more wool socks to wear with hiking boots when I travel. Most of my wool hiking socks are thick and bulky for winter. I needed something that will take up less space in my backpack and that will hang dry quickly after hand washing in a sink. I like the weight of these (not bulky), the fit and height. They appear to be well made.

I bought them for travel. Three pair of socks for a two month trip. Hand wash them… roll them like a burrito in a towel… step on the towel…. They will definitely be dry by morning.. they are pricey but worth every penny because of comfort and quick dry.

Habe die Socken für unseren Wanderurlaub in Norwegen gekauft und bin sehr positiv überrascht. Sie besitzten eine gute Passform und halten den Fuß angenehm trocken. Auch im Sommer durchaus tragbar (nicht zu warm). Von daher klare Kaufempfehlung.
