Writers on Writing: Collected Essays from the New York Times

I liked this straight away. A good read. As useful to anyone as writers. Contains memorable anecdotes.

I was expecting small essays from writers that informed about their writing process, useful tools to start a writing habit and essentially inspiration. Instead what I found were self-indulgent essays by authors who seemingly really like the sound of their own (written) voice. It's not terrible but just make sure you know what you're choosing, as I found the title and description quite misleading.
