This charger is 87W max, so low compared to the Dell 130W standard unit.On connecting up and powering on the laptop, I got the "too low power, may not charge while using" message from BIOS, which rated this as a 60W charger - I've sent a message to the seller on this - and when boot completed an estimate of 4 hours to fully charge of my 6 cell 84Wh OEM battery , which is rated as "good" by the BIOS battery health check.In fact charge completed in a couple of hours of intermittent use, quite satisfactory.As a back-up charger this is certainly doing the job it was purchased for. TIme will tell on durability.Only issue is the captive plug in the body of the charger, which limits the outlets that can be used - for instance it won't work in the floor recessed outlets next to the sofa.UPDATE: I've done some more work on establishing what this charger is capable of with my XPS 15 9550. First, I measured the input current at 0.45A at 120V, so it's definitely providing something close to the 60W the BIOS is reporting. I've also consulted on the Dell XPS forum and it's clear that actual charging level depends on communication between the charger and the laptop and we can't see that without specific test equipment.It's unreasonable to expect a charger designer to have included the capability to negotiate a specific charging level with every laptop on the market, particularly one that is 4 years old, so it makes sense to manage one's own expectations when buying this to use with an older laptop or one spec'd with a >90W charger by the OEM. It is reasonable to expect it will charge in a sensible time when the laptop is not in use or keep it topped up when just browsing the web.WEGWAND customer service is responsive, offering replacement or refund, but not able to answer deeper technical questions.On balance I see this as a good value charger for low power laptops and a potential back up for larger laptops. Expect that it will charge satisfactorily, but may not negotiate the maximum charging level on older / high power laptops. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked Great and Excellent Value! *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 16, 2019* I liked that the price for this power adapter was very reasonable. It was much less than the OEM version. I was out of town for a week and brought my work laptop because I needed to do some work for a couple of days. However, I had forgot the power adapter. Searched on Amazon for one and found this one. I have a Lenovo Think Pad X1 Yoga. To make sure it would work, I looked on the specs that are printed/engraved on the bottom of the laptop - the voltage and amperage ratings. I matched those up with the specs on this power adapter and placed the order. Item arrived within a couple days, and it worked perfectly! It saved my bacon by allowing me to work even though I had forgot to bring my power adapter, and it didn't break the bank. Also, it has a nice, small form factor. Not nearly as bulky as the OEM.
