Nice. Almost maxed out the read speed of my fastest SD card.
Attached are some images of the windows copy to and from an SD card mounted in this reader. The 184 MB/s image represents copying and WRITING 20.9 GB of RAW and JPG photo files from a PCIe 4.0 SSD onto a Lexar Gold 128GB SD card rated at 260MB/s write speed mounted in the ProGrade Digital dual card reader. Card reader is plugged into a USB port that is capable of much faster speeds. The 261 MB/s image represents READING and copying 20.9 GB of RAW and JPG photo files from a Lexar Gold 128GB SD card rated at 300MB/s read speed – mounted in the ProGrade Digital dual card reader – to a PCIe 4.0 SSD. The card reader is plugged into a USB port that is capable of much faster speeds (up to 2.9GB/s max throughput under real-life testing). It would be interesting to see what kind of speed someone gets with the one of the really fast CFexpress cards such as the CF type C which we see in the newest highend cameras.

If time is important, this is what you need the card reader you need
This ProGrade Digital | USB 3.2 Gen 2 card reader rips at the speed of light. Almost 300 MB/s Transfer rate to MVME m.2 drives. So large format photo or video is quick. Build quality seems very robust and well designed. Most will not be disappointed at it work flow speed.

Works as advertised
It is rare these days to buy a product and have it work exactly as advertised with no issues. This product does that. I've used it on a Mac and on a PC and for both it performed just as expected. Transfer rates were right on par with the advertised rates using my UHS-II SD-Card.

Not what I expected
I bought this based on the reviews, but have been really disappointed with it. Maybe the unit I received is just a bad unit but I have never gotten over a 45MB transfer since I purchased it last September. I get 80-90MB transfers on my Anker 3 in 1 3.0 card reader plugged into the exact same ports. I have tried a myriad of different cards (CF, SD, and Micro SD) from all different manufactures with rated speeds all at or above 90M. I have also tried it on multiple computers (Windows and Mac) across usb 3.0 and 3.1 with different cords. For now I will just stick with the Anker unit and see what Prograde will do about this unit.

Photographers Best Friend & Time Saver.
As a photographer & freelance photojournalist I'm usually under tight time constraints & deadlines. I do own many different card readers very good brands at that. Yet none of them come close to the transfer speeds of this device.Yes it's costly which is why personally I had held off from getting it to begin with, but then I decided to give it a chance. I am so glad that I did. It has saved me to much time in transferring files to my computer while out on assignment & I shot everything in RAW so I have several gigs of files to transfer over.So with this card reader I am able to do so in a timely manner & speed up my productivity. 5 Star all the way.

Fast transfer
Allows the memory card to transfer at maximum speed. Only downside is that the supplied USB-C cable is quite short, and when I tried to use another USB-C cable it cut my transfer speed down from 250mb/s to 40mb/s.

Strong magnet
Works perfectly for my application. My new desktop PC did not have a Compact Flash reader and the strong magnet with this product allowed me to add the needed reader semi-permanently to my PC case.
