I have shorter hair and like to wear it in a 'messy' look. I tried about 6 different kinds and brands and this one works the best. Holds, but without looking greasy. Washes out. Adds texture and a little volume as a result of the texture. I think it's supposed to be for dudes, but I'm here to say it works for gals too. Never in stock at my local store, so I have to order this way. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. This is the best hair stuff I have used so far and I’ve tried well over 25 hair products to hold my hair when I style it. I will say this one has zero shine and is perfect. You only need a very small amount and it holds all day.

I've been using this product for many years and its the best I've come across. You don't need a lot to have a good hold without it feeling hard to the touch

Good hold, not shiny. I have purchased this product for several years however, not sure if they changed formulation, but the most recent purchase was much more wet then previous tins.
