I broke them in running around doing stuff for our wedding the week before. On vacation, we walked miles every day and while my feet were sore I never had pain, splints, or blisters. I wore them with about every outfit I packed and they looked great with each one-- casual dresses, jeans, and leggings. On sizing- I am generally an 8 and when I originally bought these (size 8) I thought they were a tidge too big. I re-ordered in a 7.5, which was way too small! In the end, I'm glad that I kept the 8 because they accommodated my feet swelling throughout the day and were easy to slip on/off. The did get dirty on the trip, but that was easily remedied with a Tide pen and some body wipes.
