Awesome torches, Read My Review..!!..
These are awesome little torches. Ive been using this model for 6 or 7 years now. Dont listen to the negative reviews, i use these almost everyday for soldering on harleys and autos. The key is adjusting the gas with the knob on the bottom. Open it all the way, counterclockwise, but then shut it just a little to fill it, works great. Then shut it, clockwise all the way, but then open it about a quarter turn or so to spark and use use it. People dont pay attention so then there is either not enuf gas to lite, or way too much to lite, thus no flame, but once you get used to it, its second nature..I was buying these from the Matco truck for 25 bucks, then found these and they are exactly the same one. THEY WORK GREAT. I usually get a year out of them before the striker goes bad, but i got every nickels worth out of them.

Doesn't stay lit
Purchased this lighter based on the other reviews. The lighter worked fine initially, but after a few days it would only stay lit for a second or two and then it would go out. The ligther was still full, but had the same issue even after topping off the butane charge. I also tried several different flame settings, from low to high, and all have the same result - flame on for a second or two.Unfortunately I threw away all of the packaging because it worked fine when I first got it, and I didn't expect it to fail so quickly. I only subjected it to very light use. (Lighting 3 cigars over a 2 week period!) I would return it if I could.

Lights that alcohol stove instantly!
I use a very lightweight alcohol stove when I'm backpacking, which uses denatured ethanol. One of the problems with that fuel is that it has a low vapor pressure at low temperatures. So the stove is really hard to light, especially in the mornings way up in the mountains.I'd previously bought a Soto Pocket Torch , but that thing stopped working really soon. But while it was still working, it was so much nicer to instantly light my little stove with its very hot blue flame that I hunted around and found this.So far I've only taken it on one forty-miler into Yosemite, but it worked beautifully.

Same as before
I bought one of these to put in my wife’s emergency bag in her car. I have one that I have had for about 15 years and it’s basically identical except that the top on the new one flips open automatically when you press the switch to ignite the flame. My old one was a manual flip top. Didn’t know that and it’s nice but not needed. The item itself works well and melts stuff quickly. You will enjoy it.

Not what is in photo. Difficult to use.
Did not receive same version as in photo. This one has a button that needs to be pushed in before you can click the lighter for the spark. Very cumbersome. Gas is not coming out when button is pressed. Refilled butane and tried different gas settings, still not working.

Best Cigar Lighter Made
Performs so well that I give it as gifts year round. Great for lighting cigars quickly and efficiently. Fully adjustable and great in a strong breeze. Easy to refill and a must for a bug-out bag.

These lighters are outstanding they adjust properly and easily , the fill port is a standard size that seems to fit most brands of butane. Fills easily also. Lights on first strike. Reason it does not get 4 stars is the plastic build will break unlike the Ronson lighters witch has metal housing and is under five dollars. If taking care of this lighter it lasts for a very long time. Best torch for money is Ronson that looks like a zippo. This torch is my 2nd. I would recomend you give this a try but dont drop it or your experience will be busted also. Smoke if you gottem

It's not expensive, but it definitely acts like it's worth half its cost
I purchased this lighter back in mid June, and as of around November 15th, it barely works anymore. When I first got it, it worked great. I could hold a flame up long enough to properly toast a cigar and light it, then let someone else borrow it and do the same. However, if you lower the flame to less than 20% of it's scale, it wouldn't light. If you put it at max, it usually would fail to light then as well. This wasn't a problem though... I had no use of the lowest setting and didn't need the highest either. I was perfectly happy and didn't mind it one bit. I'd have rated it 5 stars if it stayed like that. These days, though, it will almost never light on ANY setting. I have to try over and over again. Half the time I get it to produce a flame, it goes out within 2-3 seconds... as soon as it touches the cigar. I'm not sure if I got a messed up lighter, if this reflects how this product will last in general, or if maybe it's the butane (it is a bit old, but works perfectly fine in other lighters). It was nice while it lasted, but I would've expected this to last a little longer than 5 months. One thing I do need to add though is that anyone who complains about this lighter or others not coming with butane doesn't know what they are talking about. Butane will slowly evaporate and so it's not really worth it for them to fill these, package them, then sit them in boxes, etc until they are ordered and shipped off. In general you should just assume the butane lighter isn't coming with it... if it comes with butane, lucky you I guess. It's not really a reason to lose any stars in a review.
