More Flat than Darco's but Straps not so Secure
So this came a day after I went to the doctor and he gave me a Darco shoe. I compared the two once I got this one. So the Darco is more secure with the straps. The Vive tends to feel like I am not strapped in well, that the top stap is not as stable. The Darco has too thick a sole and not hard enough for support. It also has sides that go inward which cauee my foot to bend off the the side. The Vivi is more much thinner, yet solid of bottom and less thick so I am more stable walking especially on carpet. I am a size 7 in sandals and athletic shoes. The chart says I am 9.2, or an xxs, for measurements, which is probably correct since this xs Vive is slightly too long. The xxs was sold out. Overall, I would say the Vivi is better for support on uneven ground but the Darco has better straps. The Darco could cause an ankel twist for my high arch support. This Darco causes my foot to pronate which is an ankle injury waiting to happen. I don't like the Vive velcro catches on bedding at night. I was using the Vivi for night and the Darco for outside but I am switching to that since I need a more flat footbed and not more than an inch bed.

Good Quality and Comfortable
Comfortable, adjustable, great quality post-op shoe. I had an injured toe and could not wear a regular shoe on one foot for a while. I was able to use this at home and while out and about. It seems true-to-size. I wear a size 8 women's shoe and purchased a small. I first ordered a medium, but it was way too big, so I returned for a small. I purchased this shoe based on the reviews here, so I wanted to add my approval as well.

Good orthopedic shoe
Good orthopedic shoe, wish it would include more coverage for my toes as I keep banging them everywhere. Also would be nice if they were slip resistant, they tend to be really slippery when walking on damp surfaces. Some customization options would be awesome.

Secure and comfortable
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The style. It had support and style. I have a broken toe, and this gave me good support and the velcro made it easy to put on.

Back saver
I broke my pinkie toe and the urgent care facility gave me a medical boot. It was really big and it was messing up my back. Decided to get this shoe instead. It has been a lot easier to get around and my back isn't bothering me as much. It does run a little big. I typically wear a size 7.5 open shoes and 8 to 8.5 sneakers, ordered a Small and had about 1.5 inches of room in the front. It does have just a little bit of flex in the sole, this won't work if you shouldn't flex your foot.Hope this review helps!

Secure and comfortable
I injured my big toe and it was difficult to walk in my regular shoes, this ortho shoe has helped tremendously. I have less recurring swelling and pain. Fits securely, easier to walk.

No Insole poor support cheap
Missing one important item a comfortable and removable insole. Just a hard flat board -- guess the slight higher difference in the other post op shoes price is why this is lacking in these.Don't recommend over the Darco or Brace Direct both offer a support foam insole. Just a couple dollars more.

It did not work for me, but it may work for someone else.
The shoe did not fit as I expected. I bruised my foot when I fell, and the shoe fit too tight over the bruised area. I was not able to adjust the closures to keep my foot from hurting. I did use it for a limited time during the day, but I could not use it for any long walks. It may work for other injuries or surgery, but it did not work for me.
