I have chronic BV and I typically only use these suppositories when I'm out of boric acid. The tea tree smell is very strong but I don't mind it since it helps with the fishy BV smell. It also helps the discomfort/cramps I get when my BV is left unattended for too long! The box recommends using one suppository per night for five nights, but I only use one because it seems like too much to do it for five nights in a row. I haven't experienced any chemical burns, but it does feel pretty cold after I insert it! This feeling only lasts for around 20-30 minutes before it goes away.Obviously, everyone's body is different so use it with caution. If you've never used these before and you are prone to skin sensitivity, I recommend cutting the suppository in half (while it's frozen) and trying that first. I've had chronic BV for a couple of years now, so I'm used to what it feels like. If you're unsure what you're dealing with, consult a physician if that's accessible to you!This has also never been a cure-all for a BV flare up. I am giving this item one star because I cannot even rate them. The product arrive completely liquified and leaking all over the place. They were useless and had to be discarded. Totally ridiculous.
