My dog destroyed it in 2 days..
I was very excited when we found this, especially after I saw the advert that says they’ve tested these with wild animals. My dog loves soft toys but he goes through them very quickly so when I found this I thought my problems were over. Boy was I wrong, this is what he was able to do to it in a couple of days and he didn’t even have it all day. Very disappointed to be honest.

Not tough enough for a Kangal!
I bought this item because I have a large dog who loves soft toys and the usual things last him just a few minutes before he has disemboweled, destuffed and shredded it into a myriad of tiny pieces all over the house. The description for this toy looked promising, the reviews looked promising, the price was rather off putting, but if it gave my boy some fun then it would be worth it.It arrived promptly in a large box with lots of brown paper that caused much delight, if only for a few minutes, and then I showed him that the box he had just killed actually contained a new toy. Well if he could do somersaults I swear he would have and we spent a pleasant 20 minutes playing tug and catch in the garden. Suitably happy, we returned indoors and I went to make a cuppa ....BIG MISTAKE! in the space of time it takes for the kettle to boil he had destroyed this toy, ripping a large hole in it and destuffing it all over the floor. So it seems that if you have a dog who likes plush toys this is not the one for you. I'm not sure where they got their toughness rating from, but it certainly meant nothing to my pup.Great toy if you want a soft ring to play tug off war or fetch with, but if you have a chewer, it isn't worth a quarter of what it costs!!

Fantastic tug toy
Excellent tug toy, our sprocker had this thing of ripping every toy (no matter how tough) we got him within minutes. We are new dog owners, so still in the learning process, watched the tuffy video which says to always swop the toy with a chew toy as soon as the dog starts using the soft toys as a chew toy.And that works brilliantly not only that our sprocker loves this toy because we play with him and after a month of quite a lot of play tugging and pulling no damage has been done to it!!!I have also washed it by hand and it's fine, also I didn't realise there is a squeaker in there as well, which makes it very interesting when sprocker gets to tug in that area!!!

Probably "Mega tough", but bored my dog
My dog chews up everything. It's embarrassing. We learned quickly not to leave things lying about, and to invest in bones and other natural chews. She's recently discovered toys, after helping herself to a Tuffy Alien (Rated 8 on their tough scale) at the pet shop. Mr Alien did not last very long, so we looked for something with a 10 rating, and this was what we found. She just doesn't find it interesting though. She looked at it when it arrived, sniffed it and carried it about, but (according to my husband) it just wasn't an interesting shape. There was nothing she could grasp to shake it about like the alien. There was no squeaker, no legs, no face or mouth she could grasp like Mr Alien. She ignored it, and we bought her another Mr Alien. We've now been buying her the Mega toys range from VetUK, who stock the whole range, and she's working her way through those. The Mega range is certainly the way to go, but this toy isn't overly interesting for dogs which require stimulation.

Tiger proof but is it Demon proof?
Having seen too many toy rabbits, squirrels and various squeaky toys being dismembered and destroyed I thought I'd take a punt on this toy for my lurcher cross (we think she's crossed with a demon) . Mixed reviews gave me pause, but having seen a vid where a wolf and tiger etc played with one in a zoo I thought it was worth the risk. The toy came and my dog went barmy! Straight to the garden and commenced the attack which has seen the end of many soft toys. However, the toy was still there! It even squeaked!! I dared to turn my back and returned to find her chewing on the black webbing and she had made some damage to the webbing but a quick trim made it okay... and the toy was still alive! She has tugged, chewed and gnawed the toy, but with supervision to ensure she doesn't gnaw the edges too much, the toy is fine!!

Massive and safe! Excellent!
For a big dog! Or a little dog who likes to have a go at a big toy! It's massive and seems very well made. This is Tuffys toughest toy and probably its biggest. My Staffy had a go at trying to destroy it and it came out unscathed.I wouldn't leave your did with this toy or any toy if they like to destroy. This tug toy is excellent for tug of war and could probably last a life time.I left my dog with it for a short while and then removed it before he could work at a small area. ( it would take some time to damage this toy). By removing it - I have a safe toy that I can play tug of war with that will not damage my dogs mouth. If your dog doesn't destroy toys (just bites down, not picks) then you could probably leave them with the toy as it has many layers and is quite tough! It is safer than ropes, tyres and plastics! Also it can wipe down and wash easily.

A disappointment
I bought this for our 12 month old Irish Wolfhound who loves toys but is understandable a heavy chewer. I had been forced to bin a tuffy mega octopus after approx 5 years and use by several dogs which I thought was fair enough, as it cost me £50 +..This has been taken away from him after a couple of weeks as he has destroyed it to the point where he can access the squeaker.HELP! he is never left on his own or unattended with toys .

Amazed
So I have tried all the dog toys almost on the market and on average these last two days.(have got a 10 month old Dobermann)3 weeks later this Mega Ring is still going although the squeaker gave up on day one.The stitching around the edges is now wearing down so I give this product another week but am delighted that I have found someone that is actually putting the effort into really providing a robust toy for larger dogs.Would like to volunteer my dog to test new products as not many TOUGH toys have got a pass mark given by my boy!!! but this one certain has - thank you
