This size works well with 18ga MTW
I recently labeled about 350 wires with permasleeves. This saved me from peeling the backing off that many labels and rolling them on the wire. It's not a huge time saver - unless you are producing labeled wires on a workbench with the proper gadgets to support speed. The main benefit, after not having to peel them, is how uniform and special they look. I was mostly doing 18ga MTW with a pretty thick insulation, and the fit was good. At times I had someone printing them out for me, but it would have been nice if they could open them as easily as I could, would have saved more time. This is the good news. The bad news: they can be tough to open to fit on the wire, if wire is pre-stripped the strands want to catch on the sleeve so you may need to wind them first, cannot use quick strippers if the label is already on and close to the end, the printed characters may shrink or become distorted after shrunk, when using open flame it can brown the label or burn the wire insulation, they are not as stuck in place as sticky labels so they may slip, and last but not least...they are expensive.

Good label but...
It's a good quality label but far too expensive for what you get. Should be 40 bucks tops, if you're planning to do a lot of labeling I would advise using another printer or getting your wires laser stamped if possible, cheaper alternative if you have a lot of wires.I've updated my review due to persistent errors on the sellers part. I typically order 3 at a time and multiple times have received 2/3 I needed and a third which is a cheap, sticker type (not the expensive shrink style). I've returned them but this is a hassle and sometimes due to work I don't manage to return in time causing the charge for the more expensive item, which I didn't receive, to be billed nonetheless.

If you want it to fit upsize
I’m not a fan of gimmicks, most people aren’t. This extremely overpriced product is 3-1 heat shrink tubing and is marketed by diameter. Anyone who has ever used heat shrink is aware that a close fit is too small and the next size is required for ease of use. This product appears to be the size indicated by the label but wire is round not flat. This product is spooled flat and measures the indicated size measuring outside to outside when flat but clearly states the size as diameter on the label. Circumference is 3.14 times the diameter. That said, if your wire was .235” diameter it would require .74” of material to fit around it once if you were wrapping it around the wire. Slipping it over the wire would require more material. If the heat shrink is 3-1 then you need to get close enough for the shrunken print to be legible once installed. A bare copper wire with a diameter of .235 would be 8 AWG. At more than $8/ft. I feel a sizing chart should be provided and it should be accurate. At this time this product and the tool it fits does not impress nor does it provide any value for the price. I would not recommend this product.

It shrinks down okay, but I ran into the feeding issue that has been mentioned in some of the other reviews.
It shrinks down okay, but I ran into the feeding issue that has been mentioned in some of the other reviews.Last week, I received this, and tried to use it for a small test. Initially, I could not get it to feed, and tried removing the cartridge, and reinserting it, tapping it, etc.I contacted the manufacturer via the contact info on their website, asking for troubleshooting info, and still haven't heard back over a week later. The cartridge did start working suddenly a day after I got it, though. I was able to print some test labels, but haven't started using it for final project work yet.
