Chiaogoo Twist Shorties interchangeable needles and cables are truly awsome. They don't kink and provide a smooth knitting surface. The join between the needle and cable transitions flawlessly and never snags the yarn. For baby hats, socks, wrist warmers, mittens and all small projects, these Chiaogoo cables and shorty twists are the go-to item. Needles are 2" and 3" and can be used in a combination of the sizes. Ideal for working on tiny projects in the round. Once you try them you won't use anything else. Cables available from 2" to 60". Perfect!!!

These needles are of comfortable length for me. They are joining the rest of my collection to aide in making of sweaters and socks. For anyone having problems with the length of the needles I recommend taking it slow until you get a feel for the size of the needles, because in the end it is worth it.

Works great for small projects.

These are good for making baby hats, and I'm sure adult socks, especially if you have trouble with laddering. I was pretty excited to find them. I had purchased flexible double pointed needles before these. I find the flexible dpn's more comfortable to use, but I was unable to prevent the laddering at the beginning of the projects. I wasn't able to prevent the work from stretching where the needles meet while working the remaining stitches in between. This may be a novice problem... A few rows into the project I was able to knit uniformly, but the laddering in those first few rows was unsightly and I could not gift something that looked like that. There is no laddering while using these.Having arthritis and carpal tunnel, I find these painful and fatiguing to use bc of how small they are. For me, using them requires breaks every couple of rows, but that is not the fault of the product.I still feel they will be very helpful and am thinking I will use them for those initial few rows and then knit onto flexible dpns or regular dpns to finish projects since those are easier on my hands.I think the price is too high, but these seem to be the only things available to me for knitting small circumference projects in the round, without ending up with laddering at the beginningof the project...

I’ve been knitting off and on for about 40 yrs. I’ve used all kinds of knitting needles, these are by far the best set I’ve ever had. I like them so much I bought the mini set #4.

Love these. Sock knitter but having to knit on the run and here and there - DPNs not my favorite, esp for picking up and putting down. Never liked magic loop so these shorties are the best for socks for me. Also make my socks look better - knitting much more uniform. No little gaps between needles. And they are staying connected no problem. Great feel, a little adjustment for the 2 in needles.

I ordered these to test ChiaoGoo length sizes and cables before committing to purchase their Small set. Every google search mentioned that sizes 2-8 are Size Small. Not! I gave them 5 stars because they are clearly well made and the cable attaches snuggly to the needles. But it was not what I was looking for. I also purchased the ChiaoGoo Twist 5" length size 2, which does work well with the size Small cables. I'll keep and use the Size Small US 2 needle and cables but the items in the Combo Twist Shorties pack are of no use to me. If you are looking for the Mini - this appears to be good. If you want Size Small, go to the individual longer needles.

I own several sets of chiaogoo interchangeable needles and love them for their ease of use. This needle combination presents a challenge even for me. The cable itself is so thin that it causes the stitches to become distorted after you knit it and then to bring the next stitch up causes the stitch to expand. The ridge the stitch has to come over isn’t a smooth one and makes the knitting jaggy at best. The needle joins are so tiny that you can’t switch to the blue set of cables to make knitting easier which is a shame because I prefer the thicker cable. I thought the cable width would be universal but sadly, it isn’t so be informed if you think so. All of the other sets have the same width so if you want to make a longer cable connection you can. But not this set so I’m glad I only bought the one needle as opposed to the complete set. Buyer beware.
