Dritz3006 Fine Sharp Pins, 1-3/4-Inch (250-Count)

The length of a pin is important to quilters, because they have to secure many thicknesses together. This pin is plenty long. But it also can’t be too thick, or it distorts the seam you’re trying to sew. This pin is thick enough not to bend, but not so thick that it distorts a seam.

I chose these straight pins for sewing medium weight fabric, as they were just the right length so they don't get lost in the fabric and they are easily seen with the large bright yellow head. They probably would be better in a medium or heavier weight fabric, or they could leave too big a hole to iron over and close up in your finer fabrics such as silk or silk poly, etc. I haven't used them yet, but they look to be well-made and sturdy, and hopefully will last a long time. They were a great price and arrived the day after I purchased them online.

This are great for sewing with fine fabric. I use them with satin and they don't leave a small hole like regular straight pins do.

Received the pins and they are made of good quality but will need to tape up the container as the entire bottom was smashed in.

Everything about these pins is just what I was looking for. The large yellow glass heads are easier to see and handle; the pins are extra long, making them easier to manipulate in fabric; The pins are very fine so they slide in and out of any kind of fabric more easily. Just what a sewer needs!

Used this product for quilting and after purchasing several sets of straight pins that bent or snagged trying to through multiple layers of cotton fabric and cotton batting, finally decided to purchase a quality set. Very worthy the extra money! These are great! Not one snag or bent pin so far! I recommend this product!
