This text outlines case studies well. The writing is clear straightforward, avoiding much of the technical language that often creates confusions for grad students. The audience for this text is primarily MA level students. I recommend this book MA students in Counseling.

Bought this book based on others review. Maybe because I just started learning about psychotherapy, I do not find this book helpful for me personally...

This book is perfect! I enjoyed using it for my graduate course personality theories and a counseling. This book has numerous case studies that help students gain insight on how therapist from different methods apply those methods. I may one day buy this book honestly :]

An interesting book to read! I like how it addresses the problems that might arise in certain approaches and methods. Gives great insight into counseling and working with patients.

The book is great. It helped me to understand key concepts in my Counseling Theories class. A great demonstration of how to apply these important interventions....

The chapters don't lign up with their respective topics in the companion text, which irritated me throughout the entire semester. Otherwise it was pretty okay for a textbook.

Mandatory book for Graduate school. Theories are laid out in a logical form and easy to locate and understand concepts and examples. This is one of the few textbooks that I'll probably keep after my class is done.
