Review: Compact Grinder with Plenty of Power for DIY and Farm Projects - I’ve only used this grinder once so far, but my first impression was honestly very positive. It fired right up, felt solid in hand, and handled the job without any problems. One thing I immediately liked is that it feels compact and manageable without feeling underpowered. Some smaller grinders feel weak once you actually put them under load, but this one seemed to have plenty of power for normal cutting and grinding work around the garage and property. I actually used it to cut a PTO shaft down to length for tractor equipment setup, and it handled the job much easier than I expected. It cut through cleanly without bogging down, and the grinder felt stable and controllable during the cut. The included hard case is also a nice bonus because it keeps everything together instead of ending up with loose wheels and accessories scattered around the workshop. Having extra grinding wheels included right away was convenient too. The grinder itself feels lightweight enough that it’s comfortable to handle, especially for tighter spaces or smaller projects where a giant heavy grinder would just be awkward. The grip and balance also felt pretty natural during use. Obviously I can’t speak to long-term durability yet after only limited use, but based on first impressions this seems like a very solid option for DIY work, farm repairs, metal cleanup, cutting bolts, or general garage use. Overall, for the price and included accessories, this feels like a really capable little grinder that gets the job done without unnecessary fuss.
Review: Beast of a grinder - It's quite cheap for a name brand grinder. I've had it for a bit now and it's solid choice. The grinder is heavy in the hand, comes with wheels and a nice blow polymer case, and is ready to rock out of the box. People mention the switch being awkward, and it can be to turn on, but turning it off is quite easy. I'd believe this was on purpose just for safety reasons as it's hard to accidentally kick it on. It's strong, doesn't slow down too bad on deep plunge cuts, and rides easily in the hand. It's perfect for someone looking to get a really good tool but not the price with the added price tag of a Makita. It's a tried and true name, can't go wrong.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: So is this made in China? Is the German line of grinders going to stick around?**
A: Yes, it’s made in China by a Japanese company, formerly Hitachi. Don’t let that stop you. It’s definitely heavy duty and powerful. The arming case is strong enough to stand on! I got the whole thing for $39. Not sure why it’s $49 here, but still worth it.

**Q: This is described as a 10k rpm grinder, but p10 of the manual says “use only depressed center wheels rated at 13,300/min or more.” which is it?**
A: Hi there! It is recommended that only depressed center wheels be used. The 13,300RPM phrase is only a conservative number that covers the wheel getting smaller and the possibility of the RPM spiking above 10,000RPM.

**Q: hola, este producto sigue vigente o ya esta descontinuado?**
A: No, it's not discontinued, readily available 👍🏼

**Q: does this tool have international warranty?**
A: I don't know about that. Never h ears of that particular warrenty

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good solid grinder for light to medium duty jobs
*by A***, on June 12, 2023*

After reading some of the negative reviews, I was expecting a piece of junk that sounded like a coffee can full of rocks. This tool has a very substantial feel and appears to be good quality. Angle grinders are never the smoothest-running power tools, but this one feels a lot closer to one of my better grinders than it does to one from the local tool place that sells cheap imports; and I have bought many of both. This is definitely better made than the cheapo variety. It is true that the on-off switch is a little stiff. It’ll probably loosen up a bit with use. It’s not a problem in any case. I have expensive angle grinders, but I like to use cheap ones for dirtier jobs that don’t require the power of a more expensive tool. This one will be perfect for that use. 6.2 amps is plenty for many light tasks such as wire brushing the slag off of welds and the like. This is a good buy, and when it does go to tool heaven, the case - and those aren't cheap - will live on. EDIT: I just spent a full day on a welding project and used this grinder quite a bit. I have several angle grinders with different flap disks, wire brushes, cutoff wheels etc. because no one likes changing the wheels constantly. The last one of my cheap grinders from the freight place stopped working altogether - it's switch hasn't locked for a long time but at least it spun. I replaced it with another one of these Metabo HPTs. They're a good machine for a low price. Hard to beat and even though the price has gone up 25% over what I paid, it's still a very good value.
