Cole's SF10 Special Feeder Bird Seed, 10-Pound

Don't buy this unless you are ready to have a backyard full of song birds all day long! However, if you are ready, its the best ever! We have maybe 10-12 different types of birds now constantly coming and going. Cardinals especially love it, but all sorts of birds, even the red headed woodpeckers, brown thrushes and others that live on different foods at different layers of the ecosystem come to eat on our feeders. Amazing stuff here, highly recommended

New to bird feeding we got the squirrel buster feeder and some cheap bird food at the local HD. At first it appeared that the multitude of finches that arrived were loving the food as they emptied the feeder during the first day. Only later did we discover that they had quickly emptied the feeder, but all the food was on the ground uneaten.So we got the Coles and observed completely different behaviour - the birds actually consumed all the seeds and nuts leaving just empty shells. My only gripe would be that the large pecan pieces jam the feeder so I now remove them when loading the feeder and toss them on the ground under the feeder.

I can get this at my local hardware store much less inexpensively but sometimes they run out and they don't deliver. This winter it was worth it to me to have it delivered sometimes, especially during frightful February. The birds flocked to the feeder to get this high quality birdseed when the ground was frozen and snow-covered for weeks.

Birds love it

Birds stopped coming to the feeder this brand of bird food was in regardless of which one. I will never purchase again. The squirrels wouldn’t eat any of it either. I always dump the seeds the birds won’t eat into the squirrels feeder in a different area and they wouldn’t eat this

It must be tasty. As soon as I fill the feeder, birds of all kinds start to visit. The larger birds like Cardinals, Blue Jays, and Woodpeckers love the big pieces of fruit and nuts. The smaller songbirds love the sunflower seeds and Safflower. It tends to be pricey, but its great quality.

The birds love this feed too much! We go through it very quickly! Smaller and larger birds enjoy it.
