Basically...it does not work as it needs to.
It is not unexpected for aftermarket products not to perform as well as OEM products,, but it does not work in this case. The basic function is turning a plastic disk (knob, if you will) that lifts the center portion of a rubber disk away from the surface to which it should be attached to create suction via a vacuum. The disk has relatively little travel play from "open" to "locked" and is exceedingly hard to move. And...it creates no useful suction. It will hold for maybe five section before the GPS device tumbles down, suction cup device and all.

Exact match to oem mount.
This is an exact match for the oem suction-cup mount that originally came with my TomTom GPS years ago. TomTom quit supporting my model, so for some time I was without a mount when the suction cup wore out. This replacement works great, just like the original, and I’m back to being able to mount my GPS to the windshield.

Hard to find and a real asset for older models
Glad to have these! Over time the ability to hold things diminishes, so replacement mounts are a must!

It does work but not as well as the original.
When you finally get it to stick the the windshield it works great. The problem I think is the suction cup that sticks to the windshield needs to be larger. Here is what I found, the part that mounts to the Tom Tom is very difficult to do so the first few times you uses and if you bump the Tom Tom it will fall off. On mounting to the windshield here is where the fun begins. First make sure the glass is very clean, stick to the windshield and turn the knob to lock in place, try and pull off the windshield, if your lucky it will stay. I would say I never got that lucky, it may take a minute or maybe 10 minutes but it will fall off. I have tried this in several different cars and trucks it seems you have to find just the right spot on the windshield and when you do it will stay mounted. The problem is it may take 5 or 10 attempts to find just the right spot.So does it work? Yes but you may get so frustrated that you want to throw it out the window.

Poor Suction
They do not want to stay on the windshield, even with no weight on them. Yes, I know how to use them and how to "lock" them in place.

Great replacement holder
After a few weeks on the windshield, GPS still stuck solid in place. Only needed one, so I'm a bit curious why they sell as 2 pack.
