Used to cover a couple of bare spots in the yard. Grew in about a week. Love it.

Don't waste your money on this. Did not adhere to the ground despite multiple waterings. Attempted to hold in place with landscaping pins and rocks, which did not work. The slightest of breezes caused the materials to fold over on itself, or worse, blow away. After nearly 2 weeks, zero germination.

Looks like a good product maybe but was a total failure for me. Just need 1 mistake to lose the product. Before lay them on a sightly slope I threw few straws. And water it somehow soaked well normally etc. Nex day in few hours of sun it dries too fast because the gap under it caused by the straws, all the product fly over the place. (don’t use straws) water the soil before and after but I mean a lot. If not will dry fast, kill the seeds and fly all over the place. And to Remove it will be a huge mess loose soil mixed and the new alien plants will not give it to you easily. I store the rolls dry near on year seems be ok at the end I think, I see few baby rye and Bermuda in the remove process

This is a great example of how reading a lot of reviews before you use a product can trip you up. I was convinced that the key to successful installation was to stake this stuff down really well and not walk on it so that is how I started. After staking down three 50' X 2' strips, a 10mph breeze came up and blew all my work into a wad. Next I tried putting each stake through a small piece of material before putting it through the larger sheet. Another gust—another tangled mess. It finally came to me that, if this material is that delicate, any appreciable amount of water would cause it to disintegrate in place. That is what I started doing, roll out 10 feet, spray it down then roll out another 10 feet. The material disintegrates like a wet paper towel and clings to whatever substrate it is placed on. I'll be sure to keep it wet until it puts down roots but it is hard to imagine it blowing away a this point even if it did dry out. I'll update this review after the grass has a few weeks to sprout and grow which will be the real test of whether or not this product is worth its relatively high price.

Update May 2019: While it is a good Concept, and the Grass does grow. I would not recommend it for Windy Areas. Guess I got lucky with the first Roll I ordered, that the Weather was calm... Bought two more Rolls and it started to germinate, but we have high Winds today and even with Stakes to hold it down, everything blew away! I made sure it stays wet, as this supposed to help keep it down, but this time it does not work. THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD POST A WARNING IN REGARDS OF HIGH WIND AREAS: We live in the NM Desert. I tried to grow Gras for 2 Years, which worked to some extent, but seeds would be carried away and eaten by Birds...and with the Strong winds we get, watering adequately is often a Challenge. We have mostly sandy Soil without many Nutrients. Put down some Compost and tilled it under to prep the Ground. Bought the Bermudagrass Roll and am pleasantly surprised. Today is Day 10, and I have Grass growing. Still thin but it grows, and Birds and Ants don't have a Chance. Shoots are about 1 Inch Tall now. I used Biodegradable Landscaping stakes to hold it in Place and watered twice a Day. Re-Ordered two more Rolls and hope I finally get some green Grass in my sandy, desolate Backyard

I purchased 3500 square feet of this to cover a hillside. I used it instead of sowing with straw because I was concerned that the seed would wash off the hill during heavy rains and thought this would prevent it. I was wrong. Most of the seed washed down the hill to the bottom where it leveled off. I have thick lush grass at the bottom, even in areas that were not planted at all. But on the hillside the grass came up sparingly, like a twig here and there in many places. I thought the mat would retain the seed and hold it. But it seeming disintegrated when heavy rains fell. I have posted pictures of what the hillside and bottom look like after 2 1/2 months.

Grows fine, but then dies and does not recover, nor does it return and grow the next season. Waste of money.
