Now it doesn’t. *by I***K on May 2, 2019* When I first purchased this item it worked like a charm. Plugged a micro SD card into it, plugged the lightning end into my iPad Pro and quickly had my images in my iPad photo collection. Perfect. Since then, it has been stored in a drawer for the last three months. This time I wanted to use it with an SD card. Followed the same procedure and the iPad doesn’t seem to know that anything is plugged into it. I tried with the same micro SD that I used back in January and again, no response from the iPad. I find it hard to believe that anything went wrong with the device during the three months that it was in the drawer. My lightning port has no problem connecting with any of the cables that I use for charging. The only thing that I can figure is that recent updates to iOS have made this third party device incompatible with my iPad. I would be interested to hear if others have had a similar experience. If I had reviewed the device when I first received it , it would have merited a solid 5 stars.
